Well it was a good run while it lasted. Bad day for our midfield to not show up at all. Credit to the defensive line for holding up under this deluge of inside 50's up until this point.

I've thought this the for a while now, but Thomas and Brown are just not up to standard and shouldn't have been picked - they've both had a numberr of half-chances that would have made things closer and haven't even gotten close to taking advantage of them which is what you really need out of your small forwards in high-pressure situations.

Mihocek not having a single touch is just ... wow. Too many players clogging up the forward line and not giving the actual dangerous players enough room to work in is a real issue for us.

Grundy taps to opposition as much as us difference is they clear it we get caught in a scrap.

hence why I feel that ruck is the easiest position to replace. Because the opposition can just play for your taps.

The thing with Grundy is that he can dispose the ball like a mid fielder.....

Varcoe would have been a much better choice than Reid in the wet. Especially given how clean he can be.. But hey we have to go super tall to combat tall, nice choice campaigners
