Yes, we do miss a few things like this being at the game, so those watching at home dont think you can't contribute. I always have NIRS in my ear, but you still miss things. This is why i tape the games to rewatch them the next day.

Any reason why the ticketmaster website is showing that tickets aren't available? Surely the game isn't sold out!

Have a deeper look. There is definitely tickets available on the site.

great review BF

in short, there has rarely been a chance for a new player to hurt their old team like Staker will be given this week...he is the type of player who might struggle with close attention but equally might explode if left with space...unless Woosha has some crazy new zone defence, i would think he will necessarily be given a lot of space this week..."STAKES MUST BE A THREAT".

peace

back in the west..this would be considered a contradiction of terms..but its quite likely he could rise Lazarus like from his ineffective inertia and discover his sense of being, his mojo...maybe he'll have a huge point to prove and tear us to pieces,,personally i'd be happier if he just exploded as you suggested..
anyway heres to a great game,so much talent, old+new,on both sides.

What's nice about starting the season against WC is that the rivalry is a friendly one. Plenty of good, balanced opinion on both sides, with a genuine respect between the clubs supporters. Any banter is good natured and returned in kind. A good way to get back into the footy.

And then we get Rd2...

Hey all,

only three sleeps to go!

I've jumped threads with this and made one change, with Staker making a late entry into the 22. I think we are going to need an extra forward to cover for Fevola if Voss drags him for bad body posture and spitting the mouthguard when Rich ignores his leads and hits Brown up inside 50 instead. That said, I suspect that Voss is the sort of coach who will be able to get "Good Fev" to turn up most weeks, unlike Ratten, who has always struck me as being a little timid.

Anyroad, I digress.

My Best Paddlepop Lions side: Round One 2010

C- Brennan Black Power

I rekon aye, I got a lot of respect for West Coast and their supporters, good bunch. Go from friendly supporters (Eagles) to hostile ones in Carlton in a space of a few days lol.

Agree to that. I hope you guys give those blue scumbags a thrashing to make them realise how piss poor they are. Maybe a loss to westcoast will make you guys fired up the week after.

We have a lot in common. We are the two most successful clubs in the AFL afterall. ;)

Does anyone know when the Eagles normally fly out?
I remember arriving in Melbourne on a Thursday night last footy season on the weekend they beat the Dogs and we drew with Essendon and I saw them arriving at the airport around the same time I did if that helps (so Thursday?). :D

Yeah, I thought we also had an extra night in town when faced with the long East-West – I suppose gone are the days of having someone based at the airport doing a head count on the arriving squad.

Don't mind me I'm just killing time between now and Saturday with silly questions... HURRY UP Saturday! :D

I assume 'The Footy Show' will announce a 25 man squad on tonight's show. Would this be an 'official' 25 man squad or their guesstimation of what it may look like?

A.Raines and T.Banfield will they play?

Raines is a good player your lucky you picked him up
he won a best and fairest award at Richmond and if 100% fit will be
a better replacement for J.Mcdonald.Will Voss let him play Round 1.?

T.Banfield looks like a rising star contender if he gets the chance.

just seeing if anyone thinks these two will play round 1.:thumbsu:

Brown and Black have both been quoted in the last few days saying that they think Raines'll make the RD 1 squad.

Banfield: a bloody tough call. I personally think he'll play because we need speed.

Raines will play I think.

Banfield is very close, as he fills a need. If he does, unless he doesn't do anything, or gets injured, he will probably have a fair run.

Voss has shown he likes to give the younger players a fair go usually....
