Against the odds v Pies and now Port ( 2nd and 3rd from 2007 ) - there's something there if everyone steps up. This win is up there with the best. Mind is officially blown. And Danny B. - so balanced and confident.

Don't know if it's been said already, but seems like our output relies on the form of the likes of Sherman, Riska, Hooper and Corrie. The old guard can't do it alone and when those guys stepped up, that gave TJ, Nige and Lukey so much more opportunity to do what they do best :D

Glad we stuck with them, they're the future of our team and I reckon just like last year, this could be the start of something big. Look out Hawthorn!!!

Dunno bout Bunno though. Geez his hearts there, but he just can't find a role to play :(

OMG!! OMG!!.....I went to bed....have just found out we won!!!....OMG!!!!....Oh ye of little faith!...that is my punishment!....it must have been an awesome last quarter, just like that other Hawks game we have been talking about all week.....OMG!.....What an amazing effort from our boys.....Will definately be watching the replay on Foxtel...hopefully it is on when I'm home and not at work......Have watched TBD link to highlights.......truly amazing!!!......Well done boys!!....(I've been dancing around the room, I woke my husband up!!).hehe!

Just watched the video highlights tbd posted and it made me realise how simple footy can be. If we win our share of the clearances and move it forward quickly the Brown and Bradshaw show is only going to get better. In hindsight you can see how our players made a concerted effort to work harder into our forward line and hence giving us more goal kicking options. Mills, Nottings and Hooper's goals were exceptional but Stiller was SPECIAL!!!!

Hopefully this is a turning point for those players, certainly they stepped up tonight. I won't give up on Troy yet either.

A great win by the guys. Games like that can set up a season if we are able to keep that momentum going.

I sum up this season so far as when we are good, we are GOOD, but when we are bad, we are BAD. At the moment we are having about 2 quarters of each a game, but if we can start swinging that into ur favour we could certainly be a strong finals contender come September.

Also, when Johnstone spun around on the forward 50 and hit Browny with a pinpoint pass in the 4th quarter, that was worth Pick 14 itself!!

We're currently 8th on the ladder by percentage.

The worst we can be after this weekend is 9th, if Freo vs Richmond is a close score, we'll hold our spot in the 8.

Not bad considering our tough draw.

And Bradshaw leads the Coleman race with Brown 3rd:thumbsu:

Hope Rutten has a blinder on Buddy.:D

Oh well. I understand the rule and the reason for it but it's still crap when a ball bouncing back into play gets given as a goal.

I kinda thought it must be something like that when the 'goal' was given. Bloody umpire should have got out of the way.

From where I was sat in front of the TV, the ball did NOT, repeat NOT, cross the goal line- and further, if it had not hit the goal umpire, appeared certain to hit the goal post. Should NOT have ever been recorded as a goal.

Even if the rule states that if the ball goes through the big sticks after hitting the goal umpire it is a goal, the goal umpire should never have been in that position in the first place. The ball was kicked from 60 metres away, he had plenty of time to move out of the way.

How much would it cost to hire some of these to do a few fly-bys of the Gabba before each game?

On Before the Bounce on Friday night they spoke to Tony Jewell about the fact that occasionally as coach he would go out late at night before a game and deliberately water/soak the centre square, etc.

It wouldn't be a first:p
