I would also like to finish my match preview post the way I started it...
Again, in the words of Mayor Quimby… “I’m sick of you people. You’re just a bunch of fickle mush-heads”...
Some absolute memorable and forgettable posts... L:DL hahahahahahah.... Sometimes it just aint over till it's over.

Great game lads.

Even if the rule states that if the ball goes through the big sticks after hitting the goal umpire it is a goal, the goal umpire should never have been in that position in the first place. The ball was kicked from 60 metres away, he had plenty of time to move out of the way.
I kid you not,I took one look at that umpire early in the first quarter and thought "I betcha we get something weird from him tonight..."

It didn't take long.

Well the old duck is very pleased with herself over her Charman scoop. Even more pleased of course with the win too. She is grinning from ear to ear still. I haven't actually seen more than the first 15 mins of the game, I fell asleep after a few previous long nights. I'm spewin!!! I can't even find when it is going to be replayed on FoxSports :(

I saw patches of it. I was working, had a break for the 1st quarter and then had a shocka of a night with a poor wee dram of a baby, and footy was not at all on my mind.
Glad we won though.

Is Charmo out for a few weeks or is it just the one, cause them Hawks look good.

Credit where it's due

I had the Lions in my top four at the start of this season. I think you guys have a very talented group of quick and big-bodied youngsters who could make a lot of improvement during the season. You have one of the best group of midfielders in the competition and a couple of pretty handy gorillas in the forward line.

I've always liked Bradshaw as a player. Whilst he's always going to get overshadowed playing for the Lions, he's big and strong but also agile and skilful. He can take a pack mark and is usually a beautiful kick. He monstered us on Saturday night, and his comeback from a knee reco has been pretty awesome, I'll say that.

You have a couple of pretty good scalps in beating Collingwood and Port away. You'll get tested in the next three weeks though, as you play Hawthorn and Geelong. That might tell everyone where the Lions are at. Good luck.

Re: Credit where it's due

Thanks for that, really appreciated. I hope we are up to the challenge -- will be interesting to see. Good luck to the Power too, its a great rivarly between you and us, better than the made up rivarly between us and the Swans thats for sure.

The rivalry between us and Port is so much better than the supposed Swans one, I agree.

Besides, we get to beat Port at least half the time.

Port and Brisbane are now 10 games a piece after last weekend.

Great rivalry.

In other news, Inside Football only gave Bradshaw a 7/10.
See where we had Ben Stiller playing for us too. must be having a break from the Movies.
Wonder if he is playing next week?:eek:Wow, maybe he can line up on Buddy.

Did anyone record this game.. i forgot to set dvd to record foxtel this morning !! still havent seen the game :( anyone put a disc in the post for me will cover the costs of course $$

Hello all.

Anyone notice who was tagging S Burgoyne in the first half and then in the second?

He was very quiet and came home with a wet sail. I was wondering if it was Sherman. If so he had a fantastic game as a tagger. He took Rodan out of the game when he was shifted onto him.

Interesting if Selwood was also swapped onto Burgoyne. If so he was torn apart by both players.
