That’s been part of the ongoing discussions.why'd Ponting meet with clarko last week?
I've been reliably informed that Robert Scott, Adam Simpson and Peter Bell will be the three absentees.Surely he'd go to watch his son?
A new coach presser would not be in the normal presser schedule.
It would deserve it's own fanfare.
Except fortunately no one watches that show.Would be sensational if the announcement was in the hours prior to Sonja appearing on Footy Classified.
Weird considering Scott's son plays at the clubI've been reliably informed that Robert Scott, Adam Simpson and Peter Bell will be the three absentees.
Exactly.Except fortunately no one watches that show.
You'd have to think someone will spend the afternoon backgrounding Tom Browne and Jon Ralph separately so they both think they have exclusives and we can get a good news story splashed across the 7 news banners and the hun for maximum eyeballs and to make the sponsors happy.
I would love us to say nothing.Exactly.
Then an appearance for an interview on AFL 360 early evening.
Jabba, Caro and The Eunuch left with scraps...
Note sure on that one TAO almost certain I've seen photos of him at the reunions.Yes but not hang around the reunion I'd suggest.
Just wondering when Clarko saying, 'Would you coach North? Yeah, Yeah!' fits into this time frame?Correct - the timeline I believe happened was North wanted to see if Clarkson was interested PRIOR to the Geelong game. As it turns out his manager has confirmed he made contact with North AFTER the Geelong game. The only reason Noble wasn’t sacked then was because North wanted to know if Clarkson was interested in the job. I believe the yes answer didnt come until the day before the Collingwood game so by then Noble was a dead man walking and then was sacked the next week. North have played this well by not putting out details of the panel and keeping discussions in house. Given the football director , president and at least 2 past players have been talking to Clarkson that indeed does tell you all you need to know. Again as I’ve stated today was a date mentioned but it could be anytime up to Friday. I’m not sure we will get much today. But I’m happy to be wrong.
Something like this... out walks Clarko.... And turn up the volume!!
Or this
Or the classic sports theme
Better yet.I would love us to say nothing.
Just have him appear in the coaches box this weekend.
Watch the media go nuts.
We don't owe any of them the story.
Note sure on that one TAO almost certain I've seen photos of him at the reunions.
dual premiership coach Denis Pagan will be on hand to present life memberships to Stuart Anderson, Matthew Capuano, Glenn Freeborn, Mark Roberts, Robert Scott and Peter Bell...... sounds like 25 years (+1) is too long to hold a grudge!Had the pleasure of chatting to Robert Scott at a season launch a few years back, lovely bloke, a lot of former players there that night from both the 96 and 99 Premiership teams, he didn't seem to have any issues socialising with them.

Aiden Corr is extremely nervous.I don't hold a grudge. For me, a grudge is just a place to pork my cor.
To make it look that we are running some sort of process with him, otherwise it appears that Noble is gone, Clarko was overseas, comes back and signs within a fortnight, hardly having a chance to meet with the clubwhy'd Ponting meet with clarko last week?
I still hold a grudge against Geelong for everything that happened in the 94 Prelim......aint ever letting go of that.sounds like 25 years (+1) is too long to hold a grudge!
Bell and Simpson makes sense. Robert Scott on the other hand? Geez, not a great look, unless it's due to Bailey not getting an extension he was after?I've been reliably informed that Robert Scott, Adam Simpson and Peter Bell will be the three absentees.
I believe it's illness relatedBell and Simpson makes sense. Robert Scott on the other hand? Geez, not a great look, unless it's due to Bailey not getting an extension he was after?
yeah thats fair, I hold it against the umpires tooI still hold a grudge against Geelong for everything that happened in the 94 Prelim......aint ever letting go of that.
