Hence why we should announce this now while players are determine their future
If a player wants out of the club at this point in time then their mind is already made up and there is probably nothing we can do to convince them otherwise. If a player is uncertain about whether to recommit to the club or seek a trade then their manager should be advising them to wait until a new coach is appointed before making any decision. I don't think one or two out of contract players should be the driving force behind when the announcement is made.

It goes without saying that this smacks very much of the Sonja/Clarko show. Maybe, Scanlon too. That has to mean other people’s noses getting out of joint. Loss of power/influence, etc. I’m sure that requires very delicate handling.

Yep doing a good job. The other side is that she is doing this whole thing herself because she can’t trust people 🤔. Not sure which way to look at it.
I would think if she feels she was the one to create the problem by removing Noble, she needs to be the one to fix the problem. Must say I love her approach.

If that's accurate the board at large have s**t for brains and Sonja should dispense of them and fly solo.
erm,,,,elected positions are they not? Something to said for an autocracy though as I don't generally hold a high opinion of most elected representatives at any level.

Aaaaand who told you this? 😜
Here come the ITK police.

Up to 6 hour long meetings with him is what ive been told.

Everything needs to be set before it gets the green light.
I've been told of a one hour meeting last week that went for three hours... does that mean another 6 hour long meetings or now another three x three hour meetings?

Can you just shut up - if you still dont get how Clarko operates then I’m sorry you can post 1000 times and it won’t change. He has a very specific set of requirements around coaches and football staff. This means he can’t announce anything until he’s happy. He’s not going to work with just anyone.
if he has decided to coach the rest is just a bonus but not a deal breaker

not sure what you dont understand, he aint taking another year off just so he can get the perfect assistants

This aligns with what many past players have said about Clarko. Meticulous is perhaps a word to use?? But for me this augurs well in so much as he wants to be set-up to succeed.

Interesting comment made by Grant Thomas on radio a few weeks ago (yes I know, let me finish) where he stated that there were only a handful of clubs who truly were set-up to succeed. That most really didn't have the right people, process, systems in place. And this was before you even get to the playing group. Most were in it for the ride as such, perhaps without even realising it.

Point is, if nothing else, Clarko not only knows what success looks like, he has succeeded. Nothing guarantees a premiership but one thing I am sure of is if (when!) we land him we will be in the best position to get there for over 20 years. Clarko simply won't accept anything less. Well I hope so...

The other interesting thing I often think about is sliding door moments and how good comes from bad. We are only in this race due to how poor we have been. What was the worst year for us (club, players, staff everyone) may turn out to be the best thing that happened. But that is getting way too far ahead as is so often the case with rambling thoughts. But important to remember that the greatest triumphs are those that are born from failure. Nothing like succeeding when everyone thinks you will fail.

Time will tell. The consequences of bad and good fortune. Maybe....

I would look at it this way.

Sonja initiated the Walsh report, which has now been delivered.

Sonja is responding to the Walsh report. We don't really know what it says but I would suggest its a CEO down insight

Sonja has taken it upon herself to respond to and deliver the changes needed. No doubt she has help support from people to bounce off of etc. Stevo for 1.

Working with Clarko, who is famous for an integrated top down philosophy has probably also influenced a need to deal with it from President level, not CEO.

Mate, extrapolating anything of consequence out of the bookie odds is cray-cray.
Its not like Sportsbet have covert human intelligence assets that they deploy to get the inside word on who's going to get the job before they post the odds.
Its essentially a novelty bet to attract publicity.
price doesn't necessarily reflect probability but rather the flow of funds and the opinion of the masses......so no odds don't reflect covert intelligence of the betting agency but rather that of the masses, (including some with inside information).

I wish we’d get Euge back as CEO. He loves the club too as is a good operator.

Up until recently lived less than 1 kilometre from each other
A quick catch up for a coffee would’ve been very easy
