I'm obviously in the minority who actually likes a huge roster and seeing different people week to week... Part of what drew me back into wrestling with black and gold NXT was the fun of seeing who was going to show up that episode.

Isn't that negated by the fact they always announce what matches are occurring during the previous shows and online, as well as the FITE TV app?

Agreed. I love how AEW handle the roster size.

Most of the time they do handle it well but then there are times they don’t. There are some talent you see one week then don’t see them for a month or more.

I don’t see how they add any value in signing any of those releases without taking away time from people that are hardly getting it anyway.

Edge is a different story all together…

I feel like a lot is announced online, and I'm not super active on reddit or here between shows so it doesn't really affect me. They announce a number of matches ahead of time which is unavoidable, but rarely do they cover the full 2 hour card of Dynamite or Collision, outside of the special events.

If anything, AEW needs to make cuts of their own.

I think in reality they make them - they just keep them on the payroll instead of cutting them early.

Enjoyed the triple threat opener on Collision, Christian Cage winning the title then calling it a title defence was great.

Really strong episode of Collision.

Bullet Club Gold are killing it so much that they might actually turn into pseudo faces at some stage.

Christian Cage, Darby, FTR, Danielson & Starks; we couldn't ask for much more.

Andrade & Miro still seem a little ill-fitting though... And I have no idea how many accents CJ/Lana was trying to pull off in a 1 minute interview!

Also, I do hope that booker man American DreamDragon Dusty Danielson is reigned in a little... ZSJ better win at WrestleDream.

I still feel they should have protected Willow more in the booking after she won/lost the NJPW Strong Title. Although she did win the Owen Cup (and lost to Athena in ROH), they seem to have lost their way with her.

Yes, I remember that. I was not one of those people. I still feel like there's a disconnect between BD & the rest of the BCC.

Don't get me wrong, he is obviously fantastic in the ring. And Starks has arguably been elevated sufficiently during this feud (although I personally would have had him win 1 of these 2 match-ups)... I just think they need to be really careful when it is well-known that Omega, The Bucks & Danielson are basically booking matches in AEW. (Mox & Jericho may be in that group as well, but I wouldn't call that "well-known").

From all reports, The Elite have very little to do with booking (though they did in the company's infancy, for obvious reasons).

Danielson is literally one of the greatest to ever do it and has recently indicated he will be stepping back after the next 12 months. Has 100% earned being booked strong and I'm sure he will be putting over some chosen guys towards the end.

Wardlow's act got stale fast. That powerbomb symphony schtick became a bit try-hard - he seemed more interesting out of the ring and actually seemed like he was a talented worker, but he started to lean too heavily into dumb sh*t.

I'm hoping he comes back as a heel, maybe joining the stable with Sammy and Takeshita.
