Yes, but they have 4 picks prior to 82. So they may not use it.Adelaide still have pick 82.

Maybe they did but we managed to retain, or maybe we said, we can commit to xx dollars now, if you wait until after we get Tom, JOM and TV sorted we might have some more dollars but it could also be less. This is what is perplexing for me. The delay in re-signing had me thinking that if another club came along and offered more we could have lost him.
In the case of GCS I think homesick is the nice way of saying sick of this shit club.
In the case of say Dangerfield he did actually go home unlike Mitch Clark so yeah sometimes it is bullshit sometimes PR sometimes truth
Not quite sure, a sub-standard room in Vegas or a Luxury Suite in Butte, Montana. Makes the choice less clear, eh?Consider this scenario: (This is my theory)
1. You go to a great holiday location for a week's vacation, but the hotel you're booked into is sub-standard.
2. You go to an average holiday location, and the hotel is fantastic.
Which holiday do you think you would be more inclined cut short.
Conclusion. It is not the place but the club or its culture that causes players to want to go home.

Not really pertinent in this particular example, just trying to think of a scenario where the choice might not be as easy
Gotta be a certainty for rookie draft
Somewhat seems both Hawks and Crows (and others) don't rate him that highly otherwise he would have been already selected. It's come down to " oh well, if he's still available then we'll take him " scenario.Gotta be a certainty for rookie draft
If daicos can get on a list , surely jar man can

Adelaide has the pick before us. They'll probably take him with their 1st pick.
They didn't put in a nomination for him. They can't put in one now can they.If they nominate him as a FS they can just add him with their last pick on the rookie draft.
We clearly don't rate him at all if we didn't want to even list him as a FS.
They didn't put in a nomination for him. They can't put in one now can they.
Jarman nominated Crows but Crows never nominated him. Whens the deadline they have to nominate him by for the rookie draft?
I think all they're saying is that should he be available to them at their pick in the rookie draft then they promise they'll pick him up. There's no guarantee that Adelaide will be the team to get him but essentially Jarman can rest easy knowing he is certain to be picked up.They didn't put in a nomination for him. They can't put in one now can they.

Wasn't that because we had agreed to upgrade Stewart? We clearly just have no real interest in him. We passed our last pick in the ND rather than use it on him.
Can Hawthorn still nominate Ben for the Rookie draft?Wasn't that because we had agreed to upgrade Stewart?
Sam Mitchell gets a bit too much slack for his pace. He's not that slow. If he puts on the afterburners then he can get away from a few people.
On Jarman though. He definitely has skills. there's no doubt about that. it's just his athleticism letting him down. He's definitely worth rookie listing and put him in a environment where he can easily access to a gym, expert health, fitness advice etc. Build on his strength and athleticism and he could be a really good player
which by then he's already delivered a pitch perfect pass.Agree, I think Sam has an instant burst of acceleration which gets him away from the contest.
Also, the deadly sidestep to go with it.
After that, the opposition catch up with him!
Darren Jarman was alot quicker than he looked, especially compared to Sam Mitchell that is why we had to let him and Lewis go, teams were taking advantage of our leg speed when we turned the ball over!Ben might be small but his old man was top heavy not quick and couldn't run out of sight on a dark night. (Sam Mitchell the same)
I hope we don't live to regret this because I did definitely see some DJ traits at the Docklands when Ben was playing.
DJ was a Star. Just knew how to read the game and made others with superior pace look silly.
