Nobody does rooster to feather-duster like the Eagles. 2006 flag to 2010 spoon, attributed to "culture".

Then, just to prove it was no fluke, 2018 flag to being as bad over the last 12 months as just about anyone has ever been in the post-Fitzroy era (including us!).
As long as we win one, im content with wooden spoon the year after

Cameron's gonna kick 100 this season and I'm all for it. Hopefully Charlie does too.
.
AFL could really do with another ton chase. Brings the level of the other top forwards higher.

Last time was Buddy and Fev? Over a decade ago?

Has Elliot yeo fallen off a cliff or what?

Find the Cameron v Charlie comparisons interesting. I love Charlie, but Cameron is the best player in the league and comfortably ahead of Charlie atm, imo. Charlie (and H) could learn a lot from Geelong's key forwards. Cameron is always on the move. Insane that Tomahawk gets more separation on his opponent than Charlie and H. Both JC and Tomahawk have high footy IQ imo, almost always making the right decisions. Charlie possibly does, H def does not.

Agree but our kicking to our key forwards does them no favours most of the time. I have seen both get significant separation then have to stop and wait for poor kicks, allowing the defender to catch up, many times.

I don't think there's a key forward in the league as talented, hard working or crafty as Cameron though. If he'd played in a "good" team his whole career he'd be the closest thing to a modern-day genuine champion of the game that we have.

Prime example of what I was saying earlier.

Injuries hurt him post GF and he's not close to the same player.

Tom and Cameron benefit from empty clear and open leading lanes. It's the way Geelong set up. Not just the way those two play. Takes a smart set of forwards around the two keys as well. Something we aren't good at, yet.

By my count, Eagles heading for their 10th, 10 goal loss in their last 27 matches.

Coach must surely be in trouble.

It will go like this:

-Smahed today
-Smahed next week away against Port
-Coach sacked
-Play us at home with new caretaker coach and injured players back -> Dead cat bounce -> Beat Carlton.

You can almost see it, right? ;)

I know and agree with both, however, it's still quite obvious that H has low footy IQ and that JC and Tomahawk have high footy IQ - something that I doubt will ever change with H. Gonna have to take the good with the bad. Charlie is somewhere in between I think.

I reckon Cameron is the best I've seen since Kouta's 2000, so not expecting to match him, but would like to see our KPFs work harder to separate from their opponents and attempt to mark with two hands every time, for a start.

definitely a more realistic post than that "other" one ..........
