How are we all preparing for the Collingwood premiership this year?

Yeah it’s looking like it. I reckon Melbourne, Geelong and Sydney are all slightly off as well. Pies just haven’t slowed down at all, in fact, I think they’ve added another layer with the players they’ve brought in too. As much as I hate to say it, it’s theirs to lose.

It would be interesting at some stage to see how Collingwood goes without Nick Daicos for a stretch. (Note that I am not wishing injury on the young gun here.)

I know one player doesn't make a team but he's an absolute freak who is so important to what they do.

Correlation between start of his career last year and Collingwood rising up is not incidental.

Or even an opposition who puts a tag on him.....

I’m glad to see the Daicos kids going so well. Peter Daicos was an absolute gun and was great to watch. Good for footy.

I don’t understand the hate for Collingwood. How can you hate a team we have beaten so many times in the grand final?

Pies are genuine contenders. You can’t deny that. McCrae has done wonders and their little list rejuvenation has maybe paid off a bit too. They have a massive buy in as a collective to what they are working toward. I’m not sure if we are on that same page with most of the players on our list and that is the key difference.

We got big flashy names but we are poor by foot and arguably the slowest team in the comp. List needs work because our bottom 6 won't hold up in H&A let alone finals. We also have senior players who flip a coin before games to determine if they give a **** or not.

Not really. This time (round 6) last year the pies were 3 wins and 3 losses and looked to be going nowhere.

Things can change, we're yet to find out whether we have the capacity to change them.

It’s been decades since we came close to trembling how the pies play …. a true reflection of our ineptitude

Credit to the pies. They have a handful of A grades and a lot of battlers and they all work hard, run and harass.
And the usual suspects for the bombers put their hands up and said, hey this is too hard.

And then you look at our running numbers and you wonder how the **** we run the same amount or more as we look so pedestrian in comparison.
