Thought he was really good. Smashed the hit outs and was strong around the ground. Their midfield got smashed in the last.

The last 5 minutes of the game when it was there to be wkn he got destroyed.

Couldn't get a tap

Couldn't punch the ball forward or into space

Allowed Pies contested game to carry them.

How good was Ash Johnston rushing it through to make it even

I've always thought this was an obvious thing to do and always wonder why you almost never see it.

Like last game last year vs Collingwood I couldn't believe with only 1 or 2 min left we weren't pumping it long to the goalsquare to get a rushed behind for a draw...like when Durdin went short to the forward pocket and turned it over.

Enjoyed the Filth winning far more than I should've as I was so outraged by the umpiring... This match needs to be reviewed

Some of the worst umpiring I’ve seen for a long time. The deliberate against DeGoey was the height of incompetence.

Don't think we've seen anything like this. Amazing belief in themselves but as importantly they have very intelligent footballers when the pressure is on. They know when to try cleanly pick up the ball, know when to toe poke it forward, know when to blaze away, know when to resist the urge to bomb it and instead find a loose player.

This is the stuff that you would think professional footballers would understand after playing football their whole lives. Seems footballers are generally football dumb by nature and few players understand this.

Yeah that's true. That's the pies strength and why they'll never be out of games, or rarely anyway, they absolutely run the opposition bigs into the ground. Great tactic while they're missing some of their own bigs

Worst umpiring I reckon I've seen, other than against the anointed ones..... That same blonde campaigner too I note. That Murphy had to be guided from the ground whilst blood poured from his face, and he didn't get a free, let alone the filth forward almost being decapitated in the goal square, sadly a just result....

By the way what a complete tosser is Rankine

Both Rankine and Rochelle. Cocky bastards

Clubs now panic when they're ahead against the pies. When they're 5 goals down against us they're feeling like they've got a chance. Credit where credit is due.

Also the umpires in SA can get f*****. Locals or not they're swayed way too easy by the crowd.
Crows put themselves in that position. When you kick 3.57 in the first half you are asking for it. Pies have shown what they can do countless times - not even a surprise anymore lol

The Pies biggest strength is the absolute confidence they have in each other as a complete unit.

Highlighted by Moore in the closing stages.

Takes the big contested mark.

As a key defender he would typically sprint back to D50 so if the ball goes back he can go again

However, he knows that if he goes back that it doesn't help Collingwood win the game. It helps Collingwood not lose but it doesn't help them win. The play that helps them win is if he stays forward he can present as a marking target

It takes absolute confidence in your unit to have the guts to do that.

In the end their other defenders stopped the Crows and he wasn't required for the contest but wow.

Agree .. 1 point down pump It to the goal squarer and rush a behind to get that draw but we still tried to be cute to the pocket .. just dumb football
