India batting for the draw here

They are going at 3.5 runs an over without taking risks. That is good enough to set up an insurmountable lead.

Weather outlook isn’t good in Melb is it? India might want to hurry themselves to that 450-500 run advantage.

There will be no time lost to rain in this game, there may be a short delay or 2 but not enough to lose time

Forecast is 50% chance of a couple of showers, which means if it does rain, it will stop before the covers even get on

Mate, this is exactly the sort of pitch we cop in India and look at the result,a carbon copy.

Plus the added bonus of our team standing in the Sun in the most boring two days of cricket that would leave Tavare’ grabbing for the pillow.

Stand by the Aussies, wish all those Indians who live here now would!

I swear to God your lips move independently of your brain

I’m serious. Starc is trash he bowls 90% of utter rubbish. Hazelwood looks unfit he’s not bowling well. Tremain is a like for like replacement. If we want more speed, Richardson.

It’s incredible how dominant Australia has been in cricket in the long term history of the sport when all the big gun teams have much bigger talent pools to draw from.

England,3 times the population,Sth Africa 50 mill,India 1.2 billion lol.

Heads up Aussies,we are not used to losing but money talks now.

We are in a transitional stage atm like the late 70’s when WS cricket came in.

We will be back!

We win the toss in this test,we win,our players are mentally shot from standing in the sun like zombies for two days.

The pitch has played like an Indian dustbowl today.

Lolz. The scoreboard says no. Keep talking about whatifs though. The tears are salty

Don't understand why teams don't enforce the follow on more often. Zero chance were making up the 300 runs and even if we did, India wouldn't be left chasing much for victory. Just seems like a pointless way to make the game drag on longer and fatigue the opposing bowlers. Would have thought potentially removing multiple Australian batsman twice in the same day would hold more appeal to a captain than just piling on more pointless runs.

It’s hot in Melbourne but next 2 days much cooler so makes sense to give bowlers a break

Lol, just no.

2 wickets from spin is not "an Indian dustbowl".

I feel sorry for your grip on reality if you think the toss has decided this game. Just wow.

Have to say, our bowling attack is a tad bit overrated as well. And when I say a tad bit, I mean a whole lot.

I don’t know whether it’s down to poor coaching but I’m starting to get sick of the back of a length/short of a length deliveries. That stuff gets you NOWHERE.

Hazelwood and starc leave a lot to be desired at the moment. I’d change it up and open with Cummins and hazelwood, use starc in short spurts ala Johnson 2013/14.

Not really the point. You said his form was laughable which tells me you didn't really do a lot of research.

He hasn’t played much 4 day cricket and yes that’s not entirely his fault. He’s had one good innings this year domestically. Would he be better than Marsh though, probably
