The match this Saturday at Windy Hill has been lent some extra credibility with the news that BigFooty's Alphonse will be calling in to watch some of the game.

I cannot confirm reports that he will be there for the magoos to support his old sparring partner the Ram.

Rivalry round. We lead off with the top of the table clash between St Bern and OEG.Egos and bragging rights on the line here.No wonder Woolley has been licking his chops! Story is state government considered putting razor wire down the middle of Puckle St to keep opposing supporters apart as they make their way to Windy Hill. Potter hot at one end, Condos burning at the other. Both teams can score quicker than Gillie in a one day match. My tip St B's in a close one
Marcellin v St Kevs. The Papal Cup. The match that has divided the Vatican. Winners reputedly go to Randwick to meet His Eminence losers go to Jesuit camp near Ballarat. Marcellin at home
OCar v OCam. The Gf rematch, Battle of the skinny latte set. Several prominent city clubs have cancelled Fridays lunch so that the supporters wont see each other. My tip a draw but OCam to get the pts in a complicated countback done on the valuation of Porches and Beemers in the carpark.
OMel v OHail. Fancy copping OHail coming off a home game loss against OEG. OHail too good
Caul vs Beau. Well if Melbourne could beat Freo. I expect that this game will be a lot closer than it looks, a very pacy Beauy side seem to run out of stamina in the last quarter so if Caulf can stay with them...Nah gotta go for Beay

.....and just as disconcerting that you wake up and the first thing you do is check bigfooty. Obviously no other life!
Actually pal, i had been at work for a little over an hour when i posted that this morning so, obviously i do!

From tribunal results - anyone see this one???

Old Camberwell charged with conduct unbecoming during their senior match against Old Melbournians on Saturday April 27 in that during the third quarter Old Camberwell runner Ross Perryman did allegedly strike the Old Melburnians water boy.
Charge proven. Ross Perryman (Old Camberwell) suspended for the remainder of the season from acting as an official on match days.

An AGS school could never defeat an APS school in a Beemer countback. That is just pure silliness!

you must be a ST. b boy. or just a ST.B bandwagon.
you said they are yet to play their best footy and have players to come back - this is just a pity excuse to down grade your boys at the hands of OEG. it easy to say injuries and not their best. will you be saying this come the GF between the two teams??

OEG - im sure they could talk and talk about their injuries. if you took the time to actually revise the outs they had against OH you would actually recieve quite a frighten.

Nonetheless, this game my not be the be all and end all. but there is quite a lot at take:

  • the cup
  • top spot - being undefeated
  • local bragging rights.
hmmm...

Thats If East Keilor College Don't Choke in the finals as they are so renowned for. And no, they wont be making excuses come grand final day because simply the boys at the pit are just a class above and don't need to make excuses. But we shall just let the scoreboard do the talking on satday

Saturday is not the b all and end all. OEG will not be intimidated, they do not need play the man. Anyway they are easily the fastest and best coached team in B grade

Not making any excuses here wooley, just a minor footnote! If oeg were to win this weekend it would have nothing to do with injuries, non inclusions etc. They would thoroughly deserve it! As many people have stated, premierships arent won in may, and oeg best know that! Both teams no doubt will field their best possible lineups and may the best team on the day win! And you are right, the bragging rights in the local area will be enormous and its a long time before redemption is possible with the other meeting not til rd 18!

Right t o fellas quite a bit of interesting stuff being thrown around there! Should be a belter on the weekend but to be trueful oeg n the bernies get along rather well and no doubt will be smashing it at vinyl lounge later that night ( if that place is still around) regardless the result!

Lets hope its a belter and best of luck to both teams!

I saw it from 20 metres away.....

a very disappointing result for Pezza given that only the umpire concerned saw the alleged contact and from my viewpoint he only pushed the water gentleman from OM's away with straight arms to the chest region, simply fending him off, after the water genlemans unfortunate prior involvement in the melee .Without going into details of the melee (no point) I find it absurd that Ross is unable to be an official for the rest of the season but would be allowed to play this week if he so desired.I also am somewhat dismayed that the investigation seems to have fallen short of its objective.

Seems illogical to me. Hopefully he decides to play again,he was a valuable member of last seasons premiership group and has been a fixture at the place since he started in the successful unders in 1999.
Good bloke too, hope his rep isn't tarnished by an over the top penalty, based on questionable evidence.Nuff said I reckon.

Everyone knows the golden rule of being an official....you dont get involved in conflicts on the ground. I think the penalty is just, consider himself lucky that he can play if thats the case but but there is never any reason to ever get involved..... your always going to come off second best!
