Mackie is the new Dodoro.I can't wait for your salty tears when Mackie bends the Bulldogs over at the trade table
GWS would immediately accept our future first and future second for pick 15 or 16 in the current draft, which we could use to to draft Smith, which we could threaten to do on draft day itself, the pick immediately before Geelong's. The threat of us doing that trade is not distinct from the threat of drafting Smith in any case.
Geelong have nothing to give but a certain someone has plenty to give. You cottoning on to what I’m saying ?I can really see Bulldogs letting Smith go to preseason or the national draft and Smith ends up somewhere else simply because Geelong have nothing to give
Am I jumping for joy because RFC has pick one in preseason?? well we probably pick him up there if he went there but we are in a build/development phase so we could play him in the twos and think nothing of it so he could go through the national draft and other clubs pick him up before Geelong,
draftees for RFC are obviously more important for RFC
It's close to a 2nd and a 3rd for Smith. I can see them not dealing for that.So....instead of the Doggies accepting a 1st and 2nd for Smith.......they'd instead GIVE UP a first and second to re-draft a guy who doesn't want to be there??
900k for the Perry Man and you have the gall to question other club's salary cap? Isn't your mob still paying Grundy and Treloar to kick goals against you like a happy little cuckold?Geelong have nothing to give but a certain someone has plenty to give. You cottoning on to what I’m saying ?
Insomnia is not funWoah, no one could suggest you are not invested!!!
I just asked my Bulldog loving mate that never misses a game what he would think if the Dogs gave up a f1 & f2 to pick up Bailey Smith in this years draft…I can’t post his response
Geelong get: B. Smith
Giants get: Geelong’s first, Geelong’s second, Dogs f3
Dogs get: Giants (earliest) first, Xavier O’Halloran
Who says no?
Luke Ball made his way to Collingwood at close to the worst pick in the first round literally just like this scenario you’re referring to.
Not a single club took him because he made it clear. “I will ONLY play for Collingwood, do not draft me”
You think a list manager is going to waste a 1st round pick in a deep Draft on a guy as outspoken as Bailey who says, “I only want to play for Geelong” ???
Surely people understand that List managers aren’t petty and actually have a job to maintain?
Deal will get done and this posturing on here will be for nothing.
Geelong get: B. Smith
Giants get: Geelong’s first, Geelong’s second, Dogs f3
Dogs get: Giants (earliest) first, Xavier O’Halloran
Who says no?
Look after yourself mate, it's not goodInsomnia is not fun
Not the catsGeelong get: B. Smith
Giants get: Geelong’s first, Geelong’s second, Dogs f3
Dogs get: Giants (earliest) first, Xavier O’Halloran
Who says no?
Easily the Dogs.Geelong get: B. Smith
Giants get: Geelong’s first, Geelong’s second, Dogs f3
Dogs get: Giants (earliest) first, Xavier O’Halloran
Who says no?
Easily the Dogs.
The GWS first will pick 18 once the bids come in. O’Halloran isn’t worth more than a F3 so we’re essentially trading Smith for pick 18.
Any offer for Smith should start at the Cats F1 with the haggling on either side beginning at that point.
Just because you're probably going to not finish top 4 next season, doesn't mean that you're suddenly going to "collapse in a heap" and not finish top 10 or whatever. Why oh why would you be soo interested in a future first and not this year’s first?
Surely you know next year’s first will also be compromised with compo, Father Sons and Academy bids…
Unless? There’s some other reason
Our for **** sake... A deal will bloody get done... the % of deals get done are about 99%. If you think Smith will just go to the National Draft your delusional
He'd be gone by your pick!So we take him with our R1 in the draft, sweet.
Where? He'd be gone by your pick!
So, if i got this right, you are saying that a 6-pick slide doesn't really matter cause the quality of draftees are similar? At the end of the day we're talking about a 6-7 pick drift in a flat quality curve. Respect your opinion but I don't think you're getting shafted to the degree dogs fans are insinuating.
To a team with a pick before Geelongs that wants him!Where?
Give us an example..?To a team with a pick before Geelongs that wants him!
Ok, The Saints could trade there pick 8 for say, GWS pick 15 and 16 (they may have to throw in a future 2nd) then take him with pick 16 and still leaving them with 2 first round picks.Give us an example..?
For a player that doesn’t want to be there and give up that pick for 2/3 seasons of value, highly doubt it but it is St.KildaOk, The Saints could trade there pick 8 for say, GWS pick 15 and 16 (they may have to throw in a future 2nd) then take him with pick 16 and still leaving them with 2 first round picks.
You haven't seen my run ins on the Dogs board with 90% of our fans. Everyone hates me there. All it takes is one other Dogs fan to suggest that we were wrong to give Tim English games ahead of Jordan Sweet...Sorry I’m gonna need you to re-try that comment attempt…
