Hard to believe a bloke earning north of $1m drove past all those 350sm blocks in Armstrong Creek and settled on a little acreage, crazy stuff. He really didn't. Know the family that sold the farm JC bought. Was a 7 figure sale.

So none of the Hawthorn players have sponsorship deals? Pretty sure I saw an article on the AFL website about Dylan Moore advertising girls sneakers.I know mate, I am just asking is this included as part of a players contract? It is rumoured that his sponsorship will increase.
This thread makes me want to continuously bang my head against a wall (my fault for reading).
I am interested in the outcome, I think 17 plus something gets it done, I would be happy with 17 alone, never been a huge fan of Smiths kicking.
I actually agree with most posts on this thread, it's funny how the entire thread is an argument about Smiths value but MOST people are correct in their views.
You don't want Daniel or Macrae.Yeah you’re right, we should just give away all our players for nothing.
Sam Darcy would look good at Sydney, would your future fourth get it done while we’re at it?
You don't want Daniel or Macrae.
You played them sub and in the twos.
Now suddenly you want to "dig in" and act tough.
You are the new Dodoro.
Just embarrassing.
Nope.Yeah really embarrassing. That Luke Parker trade gone through yet big dog?
This could be the key to the Geelong - Bailey Smith trade.
Essentially, Hawks will need to pay two firsts for Barass (this year and next years), so if they can nab a second rounder and 17 for 14, it’s better for them.
17 won’t get the Baz deal done alone, but 14 would.
The trade would look like:
Cats give: 17 & F2, receive Baz.
Hawks give 14 & F1, receive Barass & F2 (cats)
Dogs give Baz, receive 14
Eagles give Barass, receive 17 & F1
Nah 17 and f2 straight swap for Smith. Geelong aren't getting anything elseIf the dogs are not accepting this because they would like a 3 pick upgrade in rd1 then its a Joke
Cats will end up giving them Pick 17+F2
Dogs give Cats Smith +F3
Deal Done
That's Geelong's trading strategyI still think 17 and an F2 should be the deal and it's decent for both parties. It's under what a guy like Bailey Smith is worth, but being uncontracted and with the picks the Cats have etc, it is what it is. Cats get a guy they have chased hard for under what he is worth, but still pay up a little to avoid dragging out further or any of the PSD crap that nobody will win from.
Asking for a F3 back is a bit unreasonable IMO and Geelong don't really need it, 17 and F2 and everyone is happy when they wake up the next day.
Wouldn't worry, the last time we did that we landed picks 74 and 92 or something. Picked up some bloke who flunked out of the west coast academyThat's Geelong's trading strategy
Have an early night tonight young fella you’re getting a bit stroppy big week at school..?It’s more of the fact that this leech of a club thinks they don’t have to pay for other clubs’ players due to their entitlement.
Especially after all the dirty work they’ve done behind the scenes.

Done let’s sign the paperwork and call it a dayWhich is what we kept saying it would be.
For some reason kept getting shouted down as if it was being unreasonable.
I'm sure it's somewhere in between "Two firsts" Dogs wanted and Cats rebuttle of "Pick 17"
Can we do the deal now?

Which is probably accurate. They probably offered that day one, and because they know dogs will just keep knocking back offers until the deadline they're out working on the farm with Clayton Oliver.Obviously it will likely get there by Wednesday arvo, but you should tell Mackie that as every report still says Cats have offered only 17 with nothing else at this stage
17 & F2 for 11 from freo then trade that for Smith.

They did but I don't think baker is interested at all in Freo.Haven't they offered 10, 11 and 18 now for Bolton and Baker?
If not, I'd do that, am expecting 17 and F2 will be the deal at the end of the day.
