Taking 256 marks but only having 100 shots at goal suggests he wasnt "true" CHF. He spent a lot of time on the wing and in defence. Compare to Buddy who took the vast majority of his marks within 60m of goal.
“Suggests”. In other words, you’re just guessing. He most definitely didn’t spend a lot of time in defence and you do realise he had a bloke called Gehrig playing up at full forward kicking 100 goals that year, which is why Nick didn’t have as many shots as a guy like Buddy did.

That’s like saying Brereton should have had more shots at goal.

Surely Lloyd in for Fevola.

Ahhh, cos we didnt have Roughie at Full Forward kicking 75 goals...

Brereton had shots at goal over 50% of his total marks, BTW.

It would be interesting to see how often he was targeted, compared to his forward teammates. And then compare that to other clubs.

The equivalent example of today is Jessie Hogan. Overwhelming number of times he was the target, so it stands to reason that he kicked a lot of goals.
Lloyd had almost twice as many shots as Scott Lucas in 2001 (141 shots v 72) accuracy was Lloyd’s POD

Could sub in a couple of players who are not just barely average kicks

My “other” team not including anyone from yours.

Wirrapanda Fletcher Stewart
N Daicos C Cornes Wanganeen
Kerr Neale Crawford
Bontempelli Pavlich J Cameron
S Johnson T Hawkins B Johnson

Cox Black Hird

N Reiwoldt Petracca Mitchell Riccutio

Mark Bolton if peak is contained to only games where he tagged Adam Goodes.

Similarly, Vickery vs Pies in 2014 or so was a sight to behold.
I'd add Eagleton vs Lions to the list. That bastard used to have a hidden cape for Lions games running rings around us.
