Heaps of professional photos so far, but the photo of Shaun Smith's mark taken from the crowd is up there imo.

The best part is the flash in the live video so you get both angles.

A woman took that photo from the crowd. An amazing lucky shot.

And Gary Lyon who copped it in the head from Smiths boot haha

Lockett looks like a kid.

Also love the nostalgia of the SoO guernseys.

Bitch slap!!

Funny this famous photo... Dyer said years ago it isn't even him wacking the bloke. From memory he was hitting the ball from a ruck contest and the opponent moved his head to get out of the way. It just looks like a biff but actually it's just the camera angle.

When you look through the hundreds of famous pics, the Moorcroft mark really is the best. The clarity of the photo and the perfect side-on camera angle is awesome.

It's maybe because the pic has been done to death and people are sick of it shown. But I can't find another speccy that's just so pure as that one.

And to me, this is the best footy photo of all time that doesn't involve on ground action.

Peter Crimmins, the little Hawthorn champion, is gravely ill from cancer. He dies just days after this photo was taken.

John Kennedy's speech recorded on match day to his Hawthorn team saying something like " Think of the little fella laying back at home listening to the game today "...

The group of hawk players- including champion star Peter Knights- who jumped in a car with the cup and drove over to Crimmins house late at night to show him the cup. The smile on his face is priceless.

That's what football is about that photo. Doesn't matter if it's an U13s premiership or a league win at the highest level.

Players at the end of the day play the biggest day of the year for their mates..their teammates.

Love that photo. Showed my 15 year old son that pic recently and told him the story brhind it.

It's everything whats good about playing in an Australian rules footy side.

And the fact that a bloke with a camera was actually there to get the shot is awesome. Usually a moment like that would be a private affair but lucky for all footy fans it's with us forever.
