Putting a positive spin on this. Durdin had a baptism of fire with all the D50 entries. They were swamped yet our defence held up pretty well. I think even weiters would have struggled to repel their entries there were so many.
We know that when our mids are up and about they can compete with any midfield in the AFL. IMO we were playing dry whether football, with too many slick handballs that were fumbled in the wet conditions. They will learn from that and the pressure on our defenders will be normalised. IMO we would have beaten the tiges in dry conditions, and SD's game would be recognised as a pretty solid start to his afl career. Shame about his injury, but there is a real positive to come out of that game

Problem for him, is by time he is back that opportunity may not arise again because Weitering will be back before him and probably Mitch too.
