All of a sudden I'm indifferent on Shiel.

If he doesn't choose us we are in a better position to get Setter on the cheap.

If he chooses us, GWS will derail our whole trade period with a request for Pick 1.

That and $1.1m is a silly amount of money for Dylan Shiel.

However; I imagine SOS has the whole list front loaded up to its eyeballs, and is relying on paying a big fish to meet min requirements.

I'm happy either way. Just getting McGov and Sett and the fitness guy and #1 is a great start to the season.

The tricky bit is the price to pay in terms of picks for McGov, Setterfield, Shiel or whoever else.

It's a tricky bit of bargaining to get it all done and pay a fair price across all trades.

If pick 1 does get traded (which I think it won’t) I would only trade it to GWS. They can take Walsh and give him back to us in 2 years time.

Trouble is, if past history is anything to go by, we'll have to put him straight into re-hab.
