We have to pay the salary cap minimum somehow. Nobody else to give $ to.
If you don't meet the minimum TPP, the gap just gets distributed evenly among the playing group, so there's no pressure to meet the figure with contracts, simply to pay that amount.

Maybe we could let Tommy Bell go to the PSD for them, so in effect Bell for Carlisle?

How can he be cannon-fodder for young blokes when he handballs to them regardless of how closely they're being checked?

Cripps is a freak, but his ability to handball to a player in space is what's keeping our midfield afloat. He'll overlook two or three options to find the right one.

Tutt will handball to a bloke standing shoulder-to-shoulder with him if he thinks he's about to get tackled. Result: other bloke gets tackled instead. I've seen it dozens of times, he motors the legs, runs in a circle hoping to find some space, and then takes the closest available option when he realises he's screwed the pooch.

If he can get loose out the back when we affect a turnover he can do some damage, but he's a liability in contested games if he's being played on the ball.

As I said, a good team will have a specific role pencilled in for him that suits him, but on our list he's going to struggle.

Re tutt.. Pretty simple problem to solve i would say. Are you implying that our new coach is not blessed with enough insight into the game of afl to see what you see? Otherwise we should look at his positive attribute...pace and goal kicking ability. Plus he came free didnt he? Worth another chance rather than writing him off. Ditto for half our players that are drawing the ire of the gods on BF.

Not too keen on Carlise if we have to give up more than pick 20, even then it's a bit meh.

Not that I don't think he'll
Be better than pick 20, but it's that we will likely be paying 600k plus for a 23-24 year old when we could get similar as a free agent in 2 years.

If we get a bargain then fair enough.

This.
I'll even chip in as well.

We all should be giving him cash in the street.

If he buys a drink with his own money in Victoria, we have failed as a supporter group.

SEN reporting last night that there may be a spill of the board. Andy Maher didn't deny it this morning either.
That would truly make my week

How do these guys get so rich and still
Be so stupid!

If you want to see carlton do well
-understand that you know nothing about football
-let the people that do, run the club
-write your cheques, mail them to princes park and go away until you are invited to a corporate lunch.

We are just so dysfunctional! We are stuck in the 80s

Do a deal with Essendon? Fat hope. The Essendon board are talking two first rounders for Carlisle and the club probably will want Kreuzer as steak knives as well.

Most I would hand over would be the pick we get for Henderson. But I would much prefer PSD.

Also don't want to sell the farm and nor do I want to pay him if he is suspended.

Carlisle's management were in talks with Carlton going back months ago where an offer in the vicinity of 5 years was on the table.
He has told various players and colleagues at the EFC that Carlton is his desired destination.
As far aw i'm aware, Carlton plan to walk him to the PSD.

...then one can match the offer... smart move with minimal risk.....:thumbsu:
