Agree Fantasia at 29 is probably done, Motlop not exhilarating reckon both will be gone by end 2025.
Durdin has potential but must gets his shoulders sorted and regain afl match fitness.
Long term , I see Durds as best of the remaining small forwards.

According to posters with various levels of 'ITK' info we've got links to Lindsay, Moraes, Dennis and Dattoli so far. Lindsay link coming from one of his close family friends, same with Clancy Dennis.

Personally would be disappointed to pass on Berry and Hotton but theres plenty of water to go under the bridge til draft night.

Moraes is an interesting prospect though.

Everything i read lately is feeding my suspicion that we will end up with a later 1st and an earlier 2nd to get ahead of the bid for Ben and Aquire Houston.

One of Berry, Lindsay, Dattoli and then a key defender is what i think will happen.

I can also see a possibility that we grab two players like the ones i listed and take the chance of adding defenders via the rookie draft but think my earlier scenario is more realistic.

I wouldn't concern myself with Twomey, from what I've seen Dennis is definitely worth a pick around 30.

The pick from the Lachie Henderson trade did eventually net us a Coleman medallist but the wrong one was named. Lachie was traded to Geelong for a future first round pick, that pick was traded to GWS (as well as 28, 77 and 95) for five players plus Pick 8 in that national draft. Two academy players were matched bids with Pick 3 and Pick 7 of that draft, so our Pick 8 was pushed out to Pick 10 (Harry). Charlie was Pick 12.

So naught to do with the Fev trade.............

Honestly wouldn't care if we can't get him. Just as excited for some of the draft prospects this year as I would be for Houston.

Last season mots had 16 goals in 12 against top 8 teams. Owies had 12 in 10.

So this argument is pretty silly.

Mots is a goal kicker. Fit and hes got owies covered.

Overweight and lazy also means he won't have a lot of other small fwd's covered.
Talent I don't think has ever been questioned, however his conditioning and complete inability / want to work against the tide, that is the issue. Potentially a far bigger unsolvable problem than him getting his body right. Hope I'm wrong.

He was having the perfect prep in preseason till he got injured in the pracci game v dees.
Then got injured again when the toe wa ok.

Fact remains he came back from injury in horrendous shape post injury and was borderline useless for most of the games he was fit for.

Slow, doesn't chase and has ordinary smarts for a forward up the field.

The only thing he really brings is being a good finisher at this stage. Needs to have a monumental pre season or he could just as likely be on the way out not long from now.

I know the media and people love spreading the mayo to sell a story or get clicks but our offer to Williams wasn’t a rumored offer like the Weitering one, we had to submit the offer to the AFL for FA compensation, the offer was then sent to GWS to match or decline, which they declined, they then got band 1.

Lots of eyes would have seen this offer across the two clubs and the AFL, so i see it as having more accuracy than pure speculation.

Not idea what the trigger for band 1 was at the time though.
