Yes our offer is far better. Unless Pies are making Noble available only if they get 13 which would be a bit ridiculous I don't understand why they would ever take that deal. 29 for 23 doesn't make it much better either.
I suppose it depends on how desperately GCS want Noble. If they think he’s key to their success then they might rate him as a pick 23. Common sense would say otherwise, but we are talking GCS.

Not when GC can take our offer and just offer 29 for Noble in a straight swap. No way pies turn that down as it's still overs for Noble.

End up with our F1 + F2 + Noble and lose 29 instead of just Pies F1 + Noble.

There's some occasions where dragging out a deal helps you maximise the outcome. I believe in this case it's the opposite for them.
This all makes sense but it is the Suns...

Tigers speaking with Kennedy
It is the logical place for Chugga if he is to leave. PROVIDING he is happy to play at a club which will not contend.

At the moment he is nit being given games in his preferred role and competition for that role will only grow in coming seasons. His fall back has been ruck relief and forward. With Harry, Crippa and a returning JSOS in that ruck role and JSOS returning to the forward mix with Moir highly likely to enter the conversation, Matt’s tenure becomes questionable when out of contract next year. If he can negotiate a three year deal, his career is likely extended.

In an ideal world he backs himself to get a game in our midfield. We all know how bloody stubborn Vossy is. Realistically Kennedy is up against it. He is a personal favourite and I don’t want to see him go, but the writing is on the wall.

As for his requirement at Richmond? Prestia, Taranto and Hopper are their mature inside players 13, 15 and 12 games and all remain fragile. Prestia will be 32 in season. The beauty is Chugga would add to their forward mix as well. Kefau was a makeshift key forward before his ACL then they repurposed rising defender Tom Brown as a third tall late in the season. Kennedy would almost certainly be a leader in that decimated line up. If his manager negotiates suitable “bonuses” he would have a very “comfortable” home.

They are getting some good kids through the door, wonder how suited he is to a mentoring role? The bringer of joy would certainly benefit a rebuilding club.

Thinking 42 would be a minimum coming back. Would be good for Campo bids or even to assist in GC matching bids for Lombard this year providing steak knives in a bid for 2025 #13.

Just bypass GC and trade our 1st and F2 to Port.

It removes the biffing war for the Suns 13 by disincentivising Collingwood for bidding for it.

We then have options of going after once of Richmond’s potential 1st rounders, one of GWS 1st rounders and even the GC 1st rounder.

The guy just needs to come out and nominate a club..

Club ain’t budging on our 1st for this years draft.

We’d have had Houston on day 1 if it was me thinks.

You’re assuming-like Sam Edmund-that we want 13 only for Houston. I think Austin is dealing with GCS so he has the flexibility of either giving 13 to Port with maybe our second rounder this year or keeping it for the draft.

Also, I believe Port has rejected F1 + F2. Or Pick 11 + F2.

I am assuming, i think if he gets it, it will be used to have a crack at Houston

This Houston thing is giving Shiel trade vibes.

Ultimately, I think it worked for us and Shiel has hardly been fantastic for the bombers given his injury issues.

Back to the draft picks in 2018 - we got Walsh, but noone else from that year is on the list anymore.
