I would say no, but they seem to think it will allow them to have their next brigade of KPD/3rd talls sorted, due to Jones/Lobb in their 30s. Still think Naughton would be their answer for a CHB.

Brisbane/Sydney etc have all proven to me though you don’t need 2 gun KPDs to be successful, we just need someone to play their role very very well. A stopper at FB to allow Weiters to have his intercept game firing would be ideal

IMO Hannebery is talking rubbish, if he had real mail & was trying to get some media “clout” he wouldn’t be giving it to trade radio.
You would independently put out a few nuggets and then have the media come to you.

I have absolutely no doubt if there’s any sliver of SDK going anywhere we are the 1st phone call & up to our neck in it. Right age, fills a need long term, just get ready for the cost because it would be massive.

Media always roll-out the higher level of what a player is on or offered, which includes incentives such as games played Bnf, AA, flags, Brownlows, etc

So, I doubt Perryman will be paid that sort of coin, but I do think he is extremely underrated. If the Pies had any sense, he should be used as a mid

I don’t see what the point is of trying to belittle a poster for their rumours.

There is one poster on here who I doubt has got much right in terms of their mail over the years. Does it matter? Hardly. It’s all a bit of fun. And over time you learn to work out who might have an inkling of what is going on and whose info is a bit more shaky.

I like to read some of the rumours that pop up. And I hate to see people who share even any small insights they receive being hounded for what they have provided. We’ve lost too many good posters over the years to see it all happen again.

Yeah you are spot on, it's so dam hard to get rumours correct, plans change constantly. I remember many many years ago, i personally spoke to Adam Treloar (we went to the same schools, we're friends but not super tight).

Told him i wish he played for Carlton, he told me he wants to play for Carlton and is trying to make that happen. I'm pretty sure i shared that rumour on this forum. Not long after, he joins Collingwood....

I don't know if he was being honest with me, or if Collingwood just offered a better deal, but i had word of mouth straight from him, and it still didn't eventuate, so I don't blame anyone that shares rumours if they turn out to be false.

Maybe he could be full of shit, the joys of the trade period hey? But could also be he has no care in saying what hes been told. He gains nothing in trying to tease and play the game. More believable he could go than reading rumours like Chad Warner could be moving to us, that’s for sure lol.

Have it on very good authority from an extremely reliable source (happy to pm a mod if don’t believe me), SDK wants to come to Carlton. He is happy at Geelong but has been told he won’t be playing senior footy next year and does want to play with Tom. Would only leave the cats for us however Geelong want pick 11 and an F1 and the club is hesitant. Cap space also an issue. Watch this space #Blu#blumour

I agree with this. Very solid player but not elite I dont think but I guess with FA and the rising CBA we are going to see more of these types of deals
