Yep any club that can pry pick 13 from GCS and complete the trade will have done very well. Dan with give at least 3 years of premium football and strengthen any defense, a quality footballer. He’ll be very serviceable for a few years after that.

Thats great news for us as it's an awful offer from Collingwood. F1 + Noble for 13 is fair. The Suns throwing in one 2nd rounder is well overs. Two is absurd.

If we are willing to stump up, I could see the suns doing the trade early with us. Once they no longer have 13, they can enter meaningful discussions on Noble. As long as they have it the Pies are going to insist its part of the trade. There's no downside for the suns. 0 chance pies send noble to the PSD when the suns have heaps of perfectly reasonable picks.

The GC pick itself doesn't guarantee us Houston. So if we end up taking it to the draft then it needs to be viewed through the lens of this draft. If we don't end up with the GC pick, there's a genuine chance that the player we would take there is still on the board at Pick 20 - or if not the specific player, one we're equally enamored with. Likewise, there could be a club with a pick around 18-22 who are really hoping for a couple of players, and should those players be taken earlier then they may be happy to trade back a year instead.

GC's pick is hotly contested, which bodes well for them. They can sit back and let the offers roll in, and take the best of them.

Why give up our future first plus, as an example, a second rounder - when we could just trade our future first for a slightly later first rounder which gets us either the player we want or one of very equal standing, and keep the second rounder.

They do have the upper hand that GC are gonna deal with the filth first due to wanting noble-they want to get it done early and are gonna need to pay overs his getting close to 4M over 5 years atnthe GC so they clearly value him highly as an Ellis type replacement.
