Agree. I think if Kemp goes it'll be for a 2nd rounder. Either f2 or something before campo bids this year.

I would much rather keep him for that. But if we do trade him it means we don't really rate him and was probably going to just be depth next year.
Under contract I'd take there current 2nd and their F2. He's much beloved here but he's not a star player.

I'm starting to think we have lost the plot if we trade him... Depth is very important to any sides chances of winning a flag!

Maybe, but we are going to want to fit another genuine runner in there like Doc or Cotts.

I guess whether we trade him or not will answer the question. The other outgoing trades I can understand from a speed improvement perspective, but Kemp is quick for his size, so way more valuable.
For me I think the experimentation of Doc all over the ground needs to stop, he's plugged some holes but I think with Williams going forward we need some more leadership and intercept ability down back.

He used to organise us so well and I think we'll need this again as more teams look to negate Weitering's influence just like Hawthorn did late in the year.

Gws and Gold Coast have continually shown that getting dealt draft hands like that have not lead to multiple flags.

So you are saying that North are going to start winning multiple flags in the near future?
What I’m saying is we aren’t really in a position to throw rocks at Richmond for their recruiting acumen when they actually have runs on the board. Sorry to sidetrack the discussion.

Oh Jesus.

Surely not?
That would be horrible.. If that happened, I can only think that Voss actually wanted him gone..

I'm personally a fan of both Kemp and Kennedy. Both are solid role players that certainly have their limitations, but these are the types of players that are the foundation of a team.

However, it's clear Voss/MC don't rate Kennedy (IMO play him forward and swap with Cripps for spells on the ball) or Kemp to a lesser degree (constantly played out of position but shown he can play up forward and back on certain matchups).

If they're not going to play them in their most effective roles, then I understand the logic in finding players that can play the roles Voss/MC want.
