There had been points over the last couple of weeks that Ross was all but locked in.
The up swell of the anti Ross movement has been quite staggering, these have come from all places, not just within the club.
What looked like a moral at the time now require some serious canvasing.

I must say I’m a bit concerned now that it won’t be Ross. I mean the Carlton Respects drive was always going to be a point of contention, and just when I thought that it looked possible and there might be a Public ‘forgive and forget - Ross has learned his lesson’ by the Carlton Respects ambassadors, we see this.

If we fail to get Clarko and Ross, then I hope we do go out and get someone like Brad Scott or Vossy because I think the club would implode if we ended up with more training wheels.

in this particularly tough time of COVID, people are looking to their footy teams for a bit of joy and stress relief, but Carlton folk are doing it particularly tough Whist our club is not performing on field and off field it is a shambles.

Because he's much more likely to be honest than doing an inside job and sabotaging the club.

I would have thought we were much more likely to get the right coach if we didn't have someone on the panel that would find a way to rubber stamp the President's wishes.

Opinion only - but Sayers has the Board he wants now so he should be able to get the best candidate for the job now - whether it’s Ross or anyone else who is recommended by the Selection Panel.

We don't know the reasons he stood down. For all we know he had issues with all the other board members now leaving, and may get along great with Sayers.

Maybe he feels he has unfinished business. It's probably Healy tho - and not sure how I feel about that.

Im resigned to Lyon; it’s the team we put around him that really picques my interest.

I have enormous respect for Caro, she’s incredibly good at what she does and her info is spot on, to add the environment she’s in a male dominant one she stands tall and strong. I cringe at the way the a good chunk of the footy public treat her and say about her.

Within the media & even at club level she seems incredibly well respect, also she is rarely wrong, so you generally know she is pretty well on the money when she says anything.

The dribble she got after the Clarko comments was unbelievable & in the end she was absolutely 100% correct. You know the same people attacking her are tuning in to see what she says religiously. Can’t help but think if she was a male she’d be held to the same level as Mike Sheenan, who by the footy public is almost universally respect
