Listening to Graeme Goodings on the Crowject, he at least seems to have some idea about what he wants to achieve as the member elect board member, that being a conduit between the fan base and the board.

The fact he was prepared to go on that says a lot.

Had Jameson's brother abuse me on facebook once when I dared to criticise the board and the way the club was being run (was just prior to the review). If anything represents what has been wrong with the club from these candidates it's him. But he will almost certainly get back in on name recognition.

Periodic reminder that all the other directors (ie the majority of the board) are voted on by our single special voting member - the AFL.
We are an AFL-controlled club, just like GWS and Gold Coast.
Try to keep in mind before you begin to hope we’ll stand up to the AFL about some issue.

Was there a date locked in we get control from the AFL, 2028 seems to ring a bell to me for some reason?

**** I missed voting in my own poll, will be Goodings and someone else haven’t worked out who yet, but it won’t be ****ing Jameson. His call for stability makes me sick when the club has focused on going through change after a review. What ****ing stability would be bring anyway??

InDaily has learned the Adelaide Football Club is preparing changes to its much-debated constitution that includes term limits on current and future directors.

In principle, no-one would be able to sit on the Adelaide board for more than nine years. The exceptions would be a director serving for a tenth or eleventh year to complete a mandated term or if the board considers a director has an exceptional case to continue, say with a much-needed skill set.

“We’re looking at term limits, it is under active consideration,” Olsen said. “It is good governance. It does not serve a club’s best interests to have directors on the board for 15, 20 years.”

One of the strongest critics of the Adelaide Football Club constitution, former federal senator Chris Schacht, told InDaily term limits would “lessen the image of the Crows being an ‘old boys’ club’ with directors looking after each other or their mates with seats on the board”.

Olsen confirmed the term limits would be retrospective, significantly influencing the aspirations of three current board members – premiership players Mark Ricciuto and, if re-elected, Rod Jameson and deputy chair Linda Fellows.
With the nine-year term limit, Ricciuto would have to vacate his seat in the boardroom in March next year. The Crows currently list next month as the expiry date to his term, so Ricciuto will need his mandate extended at the club’s annual meeting on March 1 – possibly to 2025 to overcome the full ramifications of a nine-year limit.

Just about to post that, fingers crossed as it will be the only way to get rid of Ricciuto (and probably Jameson)

I went with Andrawos for some diversity, and Klemich because I know the guy and he is a genuine and honest person.

I went with Andrawos for the same reason - a bit of diversity and someone I think can bring fresh ideas.

I also went with Goodings.

As long as Jameson doesn't get re-elected

There is some evidence to say that 9 years is the optimal maximum to be on any board, as after this people tend to become reactive rather than proactive
