I think Brady has been unfairly maligned for list management decisions made by Luff to be honest.

In the last couple of years Brady has been shafted across like 6 different roles in a chaotic environment, he's had a tough gig and has just gotten on with it like the true Shinboner he is..

He's someone we need to keep around and I think once he can actually settle into the list management role he is comfortable in we will start to see the best of him.

I think he will do well this next few months. Well I bloody hope so!

For all the shit we copped under the previous regime player retention was never one.
All of a sudden young talent want out. Where’s it going wrong?

I like the bloke though. Shinboner aside he's been open to essentially being demoted and shifted a couple of times and seems happy to keep grinding away.

Just look at what's happened since the stability of the Scott years. COVID hub with Shaw. Dead last with Noble. Dead last with Noble, but only for 2/3rds of the year because he went nutto and blew up the gameplan after Roos left. So now coach number 4 comes in and is immediately nuked from orbit. We've also had huge amounts of staff, including non-senior coaches, and player turnover during this time. I'm just thanking god we got Zurharr signed up tbh.

We finished 2nd last with the 2nd oldest list in the comp. A list built well before Bradys arrival. Since delisted 30 odd players, with only a handful still playing afl with other clubs. Says volumes about just how bad we were due to previous mismangement

Multiple posts have talked about Luffy lowballing and putting players offside, there was talk Noble had his handprints all over the CCJ deal etc. He's responsible in a "the buck stops here" kind of way due to the positions he held, but I have no idea what instructions he was receiving from others, what info he was being given by those below him, stuff like that.

Shit doesn't look good for him but the club as a whole has been swirling around the drain for a while with multiple different plans, people in charge, and moving parts in general. Most of this all with the backdrop of us being shit on field and lets just say 'not great' with some off field stuff.

If he gets moved on so be it. I'll be sad to see a shinboner on the out and will accept he must have had a lot of culpability with what happened. Conversely if we hold onto him I'll give him a reasonable amount (probably more than that tbh) of the benefit of the doubt, like I usually do with everyone at our club. It's a bit silly but our club is the one thing in life I usually make an effort to be glass half full about. Except in the gameday threads which are for cathartic release lol.

whilst i agree that the 2 appointments have been "less than steller" the writing was already on the wall from the diabolical recruiting particularly 2015 through to 2018 (predominately 2nd round misses) , gonna take a long time to work though this list mess and even norm smith with barassi assisting wouldnt have acheavied much with these cattle.
