Re: Fev trade

A lot of people here talk Rusling up like the great white hope and then say they wouldn't take Fev.

Only playing ability of course you would take him. I don't think he'd be as damaging a player in our side given that our foward structure wouldn't be 100% catered to him and our ball movement not as swift.

The problem is certainly with his character and ego. If being booted was able to bring him down to earth and get him off the booze he'd be a great get. The chances of that however are slim.

Re: Fev trade

why do these stupid topics get created

even if they decided to trade him as if collingwood would even be a consideration no matter who was thrown on the trade table

if fevola was to ever get traded, he would be sent interstate

Re: Fev trade

Fev is a complete goose but he is an outstanding FF. He has pace power and a good kick. He is good overhead and on the ground. With the retirement of Rocca I'd love him at Collingwood. We'd have a very potent forward line and Anthony as a third tall with space created by Fev's leads would be very dangerous.

If we could get him on a heavily incentive based deal with behavior clauses he would be a huge asset. It would mean our immediate premiership aims would come down to the midfield recruiting.

Re: Fev trade

Insiders at Carlton are saying Fev is definitely not safe. Whether he will stay or not is going to be a genuine decision that'll be made, could go either way.

Should be interesting.

Re: Fev trade

What the Blues will do is put him on the trade table to see what offers come in.
If they find one that is too good to refuse, then i reckon they'll trade him ,if not they will keep him,and hope that fear of trading him will make him buckle down to having a strong pre season, and a strong year next year.

If they keep him this will be his last chance.

But if they keep him the blues are also in danger of not having much credibilty after previously saying that if he was involved in one more alcohol related incident,he would be traded.

So its a catch 22 situation

Re: Fev trade

Just a little extra on Fev

According to the sun, he simulated sex on a young female waiter. So basially he dry humped her, he also went nuts at an oppisition senior player and abused his captain

He isnt safe

Re: Fev trade

It would be great to have Fev a pie land. they took Mckenna of us in the 70's so we take there great goal kicker & turn him into a better player.
C/wood can give the blues Shannon Cox & a draft pick or 2.
We have been able to sort out players in the last number of years.. look at dids, shaw, johnson, wellingham & swan. those that dont change then leave - tarrant, r. shaw... Once again if the Bluesors dont take harsh action they will retain the laughing stock award for the year which will make it 6 out of 10 disgraceful season/decisions from 2000-2009.

Id throw the kitchen sink...no wait

:thumbsu: put plenty of behaviour based clauses in there and go for it :thumbsu:

Lets be honest Fevola is the way he is coz Carlton have allowed it - tell him no footy show, no midweek sportsman type appearances and keep it to purely to club football commitments. Send Cloke or Anthony to CHB as we're never gunna win a flag with both of them as our main key targets and all of a sudden we might become a genuine chance, instead of a top 4 side.

Dids and Heater have pulled their heads on, so why not back our football departments skillset and ability to do it with a Fevola also . . . . afterall the alternative without a 80+ goal a year forward is a constant 4th/5th placing each year.

How sweet would that be!!!!

Re: Fev trade

I don't see why fev getting pissed and doing something stupid is such a concern.
he did a bit more then something stupid, probably a good thing everyone likes FEV if you know what i mean

I would accept this trade, At least Fev can kick straight.

Why is everyone getting on their high horse on what fev did, all he did was have a bit of fun and in the end who got hurt, except the carlton hierarchys egos.

If he was to be traded, we would be negligent not to put our hand up, do we want a premiership or a house of saints, pardon the pun.

Anyway we all know Collingwood wont get involved, when does any big player ever end up at Collingwood through the draft.

Re: Fev trade

First pick and Dawes.
Sold!

If he is forced out, that is abloody good deal for both carlton and Collingwood

Although he is 29, our window is open now and he would be the PERFECT fit onfield.

If he can get his s*** together off-field, which Collingwood can help him with, then we should have no hesitations...

Please get him Collingwood!

Re: Fev trade

That is not a bad deal at all, make it so Eddie.

Re: Fev trade

as has been stated above... if he gets his shit together and decides he won't act like a dweeb and embarass whichever club he is at, you would love to take him.

a possible trade which i think could suit if he was to come at collingwood could be between freo, the pies and the blues.

Chris Tarrant to Carlton
Paul Medhurst to Fremantle
Chris Dawes + Pick 30 to Carlton
Fevloa To Collingwood

CARLTON: Tarrant, Dawes, Pick 30
FREMANTLE: Medhurst
COLLINGWOOD: Fevloa

my logic is this...

1. tarrant wants to come home and he has been linked to carlton.

2. medhurst is 28/29 and he can be easilly replaced by brent macaffer (who needs gametime anyway)

3. carlton will want a key tall from the pies and nathan brown will be needed for the backline. with fevola at the pies, dawes will struggle to get gametime, so he might as well b moved on

4. collingwood get the power forward they need and the pressure will be off guys like anthony (who will be a 3rd tall) and cloke (who will play further up the ground).

IT PROBS WONT HAPPEN. its just a suggestion. what do people think???
