Nope, been pretty consistent right throughout..

Happy to go through points at the time of writing.. May as well say that at the time of drafting Paddy Dow was such a shit selection at pick 3.

Ah right, the only part of your analysis as to why your side could finish 4th and us missing finals was the selection of Dow

FMD

At least we having him playing in the VFL until he improves aspects of his game, unlike that butcher Parish 😉

might be time to go back to school because replying to you is getting harder and harder. Mixing and matching what you want. But that's ok. You can get tucked in and feel good about yourself tonight. Even with the Blues flying high

Just being brought down to the level im replying to. Apologies.. Ill try to maintain a better standard

Good try

See, I actually stated that you had a list that could push out 11-13 wins and if not for the injuries to key/important players, I believe that was achievable.

That you have really good young talls and if your club valued a couple of big bodied mids ( not to late to acquire them, given the age of your talls), you could build a list to cement yourselves in the 8

I also predicted a similar outcome for us, which you refuted countless times

So, as I said, if you want to have an honest, realistic debate about our clubs, let me know

It's been exciting seeing the guys I predicted needing to stand up, stand up.

I will maintain that should we have kept a largely healthy list coupled with natural improvement that we could very well be 'that' club, it appears to be Carlton this year which is a good thing for the AFL.

I may have denied Carlton's ability to improve, purely to troll, have apologised for being so facetious but my commentary on the actual facts has been consistent imho.

Anyways, as of right now, Carlton is well ahead. Key pillars in place, astute acquisition of Kennedy, Newman, improvement from guys like TDK, Kennedy and the constancy on the park from Curnow, Cripps, Docherty. Having natural improvement from key pillars in Harry McKay and Sam Walsh always helps too.

Watched as much of them as I could . As I said unwatchable. Bottom 6 looming IMO. And thanks for rehash of Essendons season . Beautifully spun , ignoring the early season toxicity that has been swept under the rug . Unlike an Essendon person to be in denial.

But your response is very defensive . I was Just comparing where Carlton and Essendon are at right now .I know it’s hard to hear but Carlton are the better bet for future success . Just saying Essendon are not as good as the herald sun and SEN make them out to be . Sorry if it’s strange , or you do not agree .

What a delusional , delusional post.

Bruce knows.

Midfield can be fixed pretty quickly

12 months we were playing an injured Cripps, Walsh and witches hats as our midfield.

Lob was a joke, Dow couldnt find the ball and I was hanging all my hope in SPS developing into a gun. Setterfield was getting games. Kennedy was on the verge of delisting.

Bombers have a better foundation of a midfied than we did by far. One offseason is all it takes, but you do need a bit of luck (like Hewett) also.
I can name two players that will fix our midfield. Brayshaw and Hopper. Hopper potentially squeezed out of GWS due to salary cap pressure. Brayshaw a FA. That's two big bodied inside mids we can add to our midfield rotation. That'd make our midfield one of the better midfields in the competition.

Also have a ton of salary cap space left by McKenna, Saad, Daniher, Fantasia, Walla and likely Hurley and Heppell as well. Dunkley is also OOC so he is an option too, but I can't see him leaving Bulldogs.

Will Essendon be bold enough though? I don't know. We've been asking for a big bodied inside mid for years.

cheap options like will brodie and george hewett should be looked for also

maybe constable

Apparently the commentators disagree with you.

Possibly, Essendon were in the 8 - 12 region in 2021, no reason they won't be similar in 2022. Improvement isn't linear.

Says the guy somehow spinning the below:

What toxicity? I'd give you credit if you said toxicity at the end of the 2020 season, but at no point did it appear there was any toxicity in 2021. Just a sputtering start to the season as an inexperienced side found their feet.

Not sure how this is relevant aside from giving insight in to your own denial?

You'd hope so given the comments of Sayers, and having spent a fair bit of salary cap on Saad, Williams and Cerra over the past two off-seasons whilst Essendon has been bringing in 18 year old draftees and bargain players like Wright, Hind and now Jake Kelly.

Well they were widely tipped for bottom-4 at the end of 2020, so they weren't as bad as they were made out to be either.

The most accurate thing you said, your post really, really is.

yep yep yep . I’d say an apology is due .

Essendon reaping what they sew.

I heard Essendon were reviewing the decision to review and they will probably conclude that a review was in fact needed to review the review.
Just stop it - it is no fun reading supporters bagging their own Club - also you get to play Carlton at its absolute weakest in a fortnight - something to look forward to ...

for calling me delusional about a post that has proven to be .
And for supporting Essendon.

But everything you posted was delusional.

Essendon of 2022 are remarkable because they're playing nothing like 2021 when they were very watchable.

Just because Essendon is performing poorly now, doesn't make your completely delusional rant from last year somehow accurate.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day remember. You're that clock right now, claiming you're not broken.

she’ll be right ! i’ll ask Sheedy to fix it .

2021 fall into finals because Richmond and others sh:t the bed .

You epitomise everything that is wrong with Essendon.

Enjoy the wilderness.

What a bizarre post.

More nonsense from delusional Bruce.

Not just this season based from on field results but as a club both on and off the field in terms of professionalism.

Despite both Carlton and Essendon being below average clubs for the last 20 years you could say with reasonable confidence that Essendon were ahead of Carlton both on and off field as a club.

However, it's looking more and more like Carlton have turned the corner and have finally realised what it takes to run a club professionally and successfully in the modern era, while Essendon are being left behind as they continue to spin their wheels.

Out of the big Melbourne clubs it's clear to see that Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond and Melbourne all realise what it takes to run a club professionally and successfully in the modern era and with Carlton looking likely to join them in the near future, it makes you wonder how long it'll take before Essendon exit the wilderness.

Do you agree that Carlton have gone past Essendon as a club? This may be a good thing for Essendon because being left in the dust by bitter arch rivals Carlton might be what is needed to finally make the penny drop at Essendon.

Essendone gone past your West Coast?
