I get where you're coming from but calling something in Qld after something that is specifically Victorian is a No from me. Anything named at Springfield should come from the Brisbane Lions (or even the Bears since they were a Qld team) not the Fitzroy Lions.

Don't necessarily agree there. Our heritage goes back to the Fitzroy days and they should never be swept under the carpet. (Same goes for The Bears) Naming something at this new Lions Den after Fitzroy would be awesome in my opinion.

The Grandstand at Brunswick St. was renamed the Fitzroy Grandstand in 2006. As paying homage to that Grandstand why not call it The Fitzroy Grandstand also? If not at least name it after a Fitzroy legend.

The Newman stand at Brunswick St was renamed the Murray stand only last months.
