I have not visited the time lapse site for a while
Only major visible change is what i assume to be the score board
I wonder if it is also a game broadcast viewing screen when needed

Will be challenging the Great Wall of China soon for worlds longest build.

If only we could have exploited all the slave labour and human suffering that Qin Shi Huang used on the Great Wall!

Would have saved a lot of time and money. Could have filled the stands with an army of Terracotta supporters as well.

Grass some grounds have gravel :)
Was down Casey watching the VFL on weekend. Kick to kick with my son we all noticed the grass on the ground was really good quality.
So yes hope we get good quality grass not Marvel crap.
One step below the gabba grass level wise I think which is logical given

A) we don't need to cater for cricket and the surface requirements they need (different type of grass interwoven

B) the cost to maintain that level or type of grass is insane!

No the longest build is whatever the hell they are building down at Kardinia park. Been ongoing for years and the building site has looked the same for like 18 months.

3 light towers? Although I can see a possible half a tower behind the trees. I see on the others there's a join? 3/4 way up....could be waiting for the top part.

Have probably answered my own question there:smilev1:

Looking good so far.

theres definitely a 4th there. Its actually back quite a bit from the ground. If you go to Time Lapse Pty Ltd - Brisbane Lions - Springfield Lakes (Tower Crane) its basically just to the left of camera. It was put up about the 10th of march (estimate) and you can see the crane that puts the rest of them up drive just to the edge of screen. and then back a bit later.

So does anyone know when the staff are moving into the buildings and would it be ready to host AFLW finals there?

I don’t know anything about grass (cue jokes), but if they haven’t laid the turf yet, I can’t imagine the oval being ready this season.
Jake Anson confirmed to me on Twitter this evening that the oval will not be ready at all this season, even if we get to host the grand final. Shame, but it is what it is I suppose.

Fages may have instigated “Operation Queenstown”. Would toughen everyone up for next season.
Why bother with Queenstown when Springfield is already in the perfect condition to kick off the same regime?
