Why are they putting it behind the goals?
Ridiculous if you ask me, should be on the wings or pockets of grounds; surely the ball gets lost in the screen for players leading up to the ball with the ball in the back drop of the screen?

Why are they putting it behind the goals?
It's not alone. Docklands has a screen behind the goals, albeit raised up though still very conceivably "lost in the screen" for a high kick, and Giants Stadium regularly has kicks on goal bounce off its screen at one end. I have heard zero complaints from any player about either stadium so I'd suggest that no, the ball doesn't get lost in the screen (and definitely nothing compared to players visibly struggling when there's a sharp transition between shade and light in any stadium). Why are they putting it behind the goals?

It is part of a plan to stop the balls going over the fenceWhy are they putting it behind the goals?

Pity, was hoping for something like this...
Yes, i noticed that this morning also.
I saw you there Sec5. Would have said hello but was preoccupied with my ongoing saga vs Telstra.Yes, i noticed that this morning also.
I did not see you at training but then again, my eyes are not that great anymore.
I was one of a few who sat out in the sun, so my brain is also fading.
Between the two of us and being in different spots we should cover a fair few of the guys in action.I saw you there Sec5. Would have said hello but was preoccupied with my ongoing saga vs Telstra.
Looking fwd to the pics.

Why has this taken so long? You'd think it would've been one of the first things put up/in (after the turf).
Agree. The club needs to be congratulated with the way they have prepared this complex. First to successfully hold the AFLW grand final when the media teed off at them for having an underdone facility and then to have the surface & facility ready for pre-season is a fantastic effort. We are lucky as supporters to have such good people running this club.I don’t think it’s the kind of thing you buy on eBay, and given the club only thought the ground would be in use from now for training having an order placed for earlier installation would be a bit pointless?
The idea of picking up a cheap full size scoreboard on ebay has left me cackling.I don’t think it’s the kind of thing you buy on eBay, and given the club only thought the ground would be in use from now for training having an order placed for earlier installation would be a bit pointless?

Wonder how the commute has been for the boys. It looks like early starts so would also assume early finishes?Agree. The club needs to be congratulated with the way they have prepared this complex.
