Enjoy having a player at your club who doesnt want to be there. That chit runs through a club like a cancer.
No where near the frustration you guys must feel watching Betts kick bags for us.

And Menzel? I presume he's going well too, yes? Just further strengthens the case that Reid is a woefully inadequate list manager.

Havent gone too well overall with him at the helm, have you?

Times are a changing, contracted players started to ask for trades a few years back, clubs will evolve and start making them stay.

Players will then learn to deal with it and do their best for their team.

I doubt we would try again next year. He will be 29 at the start of the 2018 season.
That ship sailed yesterday.
It will get interesting the first time he doesnt put in next year.
It will be interesting to see the crows fall way short next year due to having a poor midfield

ed is a great player who is in a side with a game plan that suits him perfectly. it will only annoy me if the crows win a flag with both ed and sauce in the side however with the way u guys go about trading i doubt that will happen.

You mean the same family reasons that just got worse because he couldnt get traded?

seriously find another cliche, the "family reasons" have been way overstated to suit the crow narrative. if it was so bad gibba would not be be going overseas with his carlton mates, lozza wooudnt be attending the brownlow/presentation night and his old man ross would be heaping lavish praise on the club.

u better hope the afl doesnt change the trading rules as part of the new collective bargaining agreement and allow clubs to trade player without their consent. if they do then gibba may end up back at crow land but playing against u!

Justin Reid seems to be getting a media grilling. wonder if he'll stay a list manager?

Then again, he's on a fixed term contract.

Going forward , player managers would be very dubious about committing their players to AFC after Reid's amateurish performance here .
He hung Gibbs out to dry and I'd also wager Tex Walker wouldn't be too pleased with him after shaking Gibbs hand and giving his word that the deal would be done .

Well when a guy has been in the system for 10 years and never even been All Australian once, chances are the deal is gonna full through if you put that kinda price on his head

Wow, so you didnt even get compo for the guy who'd go on to become Carlton’s leading goal kicker? Sad though it is, we wouldve surely given you a second rounder for him. Adelaide is really bad at this "trade week" thingie. Do you find that frustrating as a Crow supporter?
wow, did you even think about how that sounds when you wrote it... A player we didn't want is your leading goal kicker. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

I think it highlights Reid's inability to get value. One man's trash, etc, etc. Rather than offering him up for a trade and bringing in a pick or player into you club, Reid discarded him meaning you got zip in return.

Opportunity lost. That about sums up Reid's dealings as a list manager, doesnt it? I mean, he also failed to extract value for Lyons as well. I see a common theme occurring here...

Adelaide’s first picks
2015- Milera
2014- Lever
2013- M.Crouch
2012- Tippett scandal, still got Atkins at 81
2011- B Crouch
2010 - B Smith
2009- D Talia
2008- P Davis
2007- P Dangerfield

That is how Adelaide responds, by taking our first this year and first next year and get 2 best 22 players.

Don't sell the farm when you pick players like that

Bloody hell!!!! That is an awesome hit rate. Every single one of them is a fantastic pick up.
