Bucks's Toughest 10

Good list. We all have our biases as to which others of our team should be in there but Bucks played against them and it seems pretty accurate to me.

I know we've had our differences of opinion before, but gee-whiz.

You rolling your eyes at Nathan Buckley rating Michael Wilson as one of the AFL's top-10 toughest players is like Brendon Urie calling Bas Rutten a softcoq.

Bucks is all class off the field.

Can't believe someone could question his footy knowledge.

He hass picked guys who are honestly tough and just get on with the game, which is quite refreshing from a list Mike Sheehan would produce.

i can't believe anyone could question Michael Wilson's toughness.

I am amazed how consistently he plays hard footy while injured. And his influence on Port's hardness is undeniable.

It's just another sad Crows supporter venting hot air about a Port player

I thought Buckley's list wasn't too far off the track

A couple of others worthy of consideration would be --

Campbell Brown (Hawthorn)
Paul Chapman (Geelong)
Mitch Hahn (Western Bulldogs)
Nathan Van Berlo (Adelaide)
Adam Simpson (Kangaroos)
Tyson Stenglein (West Coast)
James Bartel (Geelong)

LOL what would buckley know about being tough absolutely nothing

Pretty rich coming from a Melbourne supporter. Who's supporters, players and coach are the mentally, physically and spiritually weakest in all the AFL, with the possible exception of Freo. What would Melbourne know about tough?

Nathan Buckley was toughness personified. A natural born leader, a natural born champion.

That Cambell Brown video is one of the all time great video's - tells you everything you need to know about him. I love it.

Chapman's is a massive effort too - gets smashed, jumps up and gets involved in the next passage of play at the other end of the ground.

Both bumps are handed out by Richmond players who don't get back up themselves! lol

Great list -Chapman should be on it. Dishes it out and takes it.

That top 10 is not respectable without Daniel Kerr.

He is the smallest In & Under player, everytime he tries to grab the ball 286 people jump on the bloke. He is also tough as nails, never shows pain and discomfort and is always quickly up after a good pummeling.

AND who can forget him tackling over-sized players like Gerhig or Hall.

Kerr is a little BEAST

Lol how is the coach mentally weak?

I was inspired by Brownie's effort in the dying moments of the final v. Adelaide at the phone box last year when he flew black to try save a goal on the line and clattered his knee into the goal post in the process.

He stood up in lots of pain but did his best sprint/limp off the ground to get a fresh player on the field. He ran 100m. Selfless team act.

It's about 4:20 into this clip.

No doubts about Ling's toughness and obviously Buckley is well informed as Ling used to tag him a few years back, however I would have to argue that Chappy, Bartel and Scarlett are tougher than Ling IMO, Chappy is toughness personified

Damien Peverril woudl be up there... has taken some huge hits in his time and just got back up and kept on playing.
Voss is a big fan of Pev's tough style of play, mentioned he was one of the physically toughest blokes in the AFL during his special comments on a Bombers game.

I think Cam Ling deserves a mention. To show your face on national television each week being an ugly ranga would be the toughest gig going round IMO.
