HA! How the hell do you get to GF days and rain, why do you continually miss the point?

I admire your faith in our club and Scott- I just don't agree with you :)
What point did I miss? You hate Brad, it's ridiculous... That's pretty much it.

He is a good coach. Not a great one. And I have severe doubts that he will take us to a premiership.

In the world of company start-ups they operate with a "Fail Fast" mantra. Create a product or service, put it out in the marketplace, let it rip. If it's not working you act decisively - you pull the pin to avoid wasting your precious capital, and you move onto the next thing.

Look at Melbourne, Bulldogs, Saints in recent years. For various reasons they all pulled the pin pretty quickly when they realised they were wasting their precious capital (or "time" in a footy context). Look at Bulldogs and Saints now - they are definitely on the up.

We have invested a lot of our capital (time) into Brad's stewardship of the team - many would say too much. We have not "Failed Fast". My fear is that we will make 8 and play nothing more than a bit-part in the finals, followed by another year of middling performances. In other words I fear we will "Fail slowly" and wake one morning to discover our next premiership is further away than the day our current coach was appointed. A sobering thought.

Whatever happens next it needs to be decisive. I want us to drive hard into a Prelim and beyond, or to miss the 8 all together. If it's the latter at least it should also force the club's leadership to act decisively.

After six years of Dean, with precious little other than a preliminary final spanking, and six years of Brad, with precious little other than a preliminary final spanking, I would hope we had eliminated some of the awful efforts and losses to shit teams from our game.

He is a good coach. Not a great one. And I have severe doubts that he will take us to a premiership.

I also don't think "he extended the contracts of two of our all-time greats" should be a reason to keep him. Wayne Brittain could have made that decision. Mark Neeld could have made that decision. I could have made that decision. They're no-brainers, and if we're keeping a bloke around solely because he makes decisions your grandmother could make in her sleep, we are dead set struggling.

Based on what?

With the resources and list he has been given for his tenure, I don't think anything he has "achieved" is above the bare minimum expected.

I don't think he is a disaster or anything like that, but I think "good" is generous.

Average or ordinary more apt descriptions at this stage unless he can turn it around - which I don't think he will or can.

After seeing our tall team announced for Sunday i'm waiting for any late change before i say anything..

But no late change and i will let Rip on Braddles..

Just waiting for people to say that beating Freo who are without Pav means that BS has proven nothing.

Too much emotional energy has been invested by some on here to ever change their mind on him as a coach.

Bit pathetic really.
Yep and then next week it will be "the Bulldogs are coming back from Perth" and "The tigers are prepping for finals"

I think beating Fremantle would be a good start, shit, would be the third side sitting in the eight we'd have managed to beat this season. Ten of our wins are against sides outside the eight, but I suppose Brad can't be blamed for that:p

There is no reason we should not win our last 3 games.

None.

None of us hate Brad, he seems like a decent bloke. He just can't coach that's all.

Yep have him up there in the nice guys stakes with Johnny Farnham.

On a serious note Bad has an opportunity to show his worth as a senior AFL coach over the next three weeks. Currently as you'd be aware we've beaten only two sides currently in the eight. Not a great sign for a club that at seasons start thought (internally) they were a top four chance.

Lose today and we could beat max three top eight sides in 2015. Unless the equally poor performing/ underachieving Cats also coached by a Scott somehow take our spot in the eight.

Exciting times!

I'd be happy to be proven wrong as I'd love Brad to coach us to a grand final and shove it up my anus but it ain't going to happen.
