Checking in from Lagos in Portugal. What a five days it’s been. Go away on holiday and we lead Collingwood by 5 goals before getting run down and the coach is gone. Nothing like the North way of doing things.

On Noble, he just never was a coach. We went for the Fagan approach and got the Brendan Bolton version instead.
Clearly without Paul Roos there his game day and gameplan ability was lacking. It was lacking all pre-season.

All I’ll say is going forward, for all you trackwatchers don’t buy into anything that you see during pre season. North’s worst enemy is when it plays itself. As soon as we play another mob thats when we measure how well we’re going. Warning signs were so evident early on, I’m surprised Noble lasted 16 rounds.

Our gameplan never stacked up. And what we saw in the summer drifted into the season and what we came to see was a man incapable of coaching an AFL side. No more excuses from this board or any apologist for the teams performance. Listen to the President. The lack of competitive nature of the team was reflective upon the man coaching from the sidelines. It was that simple.
This team isn’t 10 goals worse than Adelaide. Not today, not last week, never.

What’s done is done. Noble will wind up CEO of a club next year and I wish him good luck and all the best. But ffs the club needs to get the next coaching appointment right. It just has to. Hopefully this has all been a genuine lesson in understanding it’s a performance based industry. Semantics should never come into it. Sonja said that. Amarfio said that. And the man we called coach three days ago said that as well.

Let’s go out and f*** the tigers on Saturday now

Hmmm bestie is LYING!! You’re in Lagos, Nigeria. No wonder I’ve been getting so many emails from the Prince of Nigeria.

Hahaha my Instagram algorithm is just as confused. Tryna find nice tourist places and kept showing me Nigeria! Was 43 in Lisbon on the weekend too.
Crazy hot!

So seems 3 players were gone had Noble stayed.

1.Zurhaar- don't know why but was gone
2.Goldy- Told by Noble as far back as pre-season he was now 3rd choice ruck, just Lo fing L
3.Isn't JHF , not sure who.

Glad he's gone fwiw.
There are a lot of players out of contract. I assume they and/or the club won't be signing too many players until a new coach is in place. Are you hearing anything about this?

Yeah WTF? Who in their right mind would say that, How does that make the place better?
The next coach we get needs to have a high EQ and know how to manage players mentally to get the best out of them. Shredding blokes' confidence is just...not good.

Can't afford any more of this shit.

Interesting that you say this. In Nobes I thought we were getting someone with a high EQ - perhaps the pundits were just guessing based on his other attributes?

Footballers out of contract was the conversation.
I’m still reeling from Zurhaar walking which would have been devastating imo
Don't worry - it would have for all of us. Let's hope he signs.

After yesterday, the belief in CZ was back in a big way.

The Goldy thing makes no sense. Would be one thing to say you won't be playing him as the solo ruck as the club HAS to get minutes into the other two, and a complete other thing to call him third choice (and then have him be the only one playing all year...)

Books and covers and all that I guess
Maybe that aspect of him went by the wayside because he felt he had to be firm and decisive. Alternatively, power corrupts, and maybe ego reared it's ugly head after a "successful" year.

Not only 3rd string but 3rd string behind X and CCJ - really? Wow that was a bad basic football judgment error made by Nobes - how could our coach think that?

I'm sure there are plenty of these stories like this - there must be given how bad we were under his watch.
The same bloke who thought LDU was best used forward for large portions of games.
