We usually try to wrap up some dental rectification and tattoo removal work into the CBOs and ICOs they dish out at Frankston Magistrates' Court.

Nice to see everyone loves each other in C Grade... no nasty comments like A and B grade this week.
Who is playing who this weekend in CGrade practice matches?

Hampton Rovers defeated EDFL team East Keilor 9.11 to 2.10 at a practice match at Boss James Reserve today.

How did the Rooters go against the Doutta's today?
lost by 4 goals in a tribute to the great man Gary Plummer who is a life member at both clubs. They had Kade Carey and a guy in the ruck Phillpott who was 11ft 7in that were probably the difference. We looked OK with Milne and Morrison the standouts for us. It was our first hit out and their third, not sure that means anything though.

Did they award a GP cup at the end of the game?

This season will see a lot of young players showcasing their talents as a lot of the sides have young lists.
Some names to watch out for over the coming 18 rounds who many believe will have a big impact on 2008 season!

Ajax - Jankie, Freed

Ormond - Tehennepe, Rodwell, Lack

Oakleigh - McGary, Tunik

MHSOB - Rendall

Feel free to add more

AJAX V OLD MELBOURNIANS today @ MENTONE GRAMMAR
Went down to Mentone Grammar...windy conditions.. OM's downed Ajax by about 2 goals in a scrappy match. Both Clubs looked like they had half their senior sides out but it was a fast flowing game. Both sides made lots of mistakes in the difficult conditions..Ajax move the ball quickly and will be strong in 2008..Wandered over to see Monash who trailed Caulfield by a few goals at half time...and do not under estimate Monash this year... they ran hard and have some high marking forwards who will worry other sides...

I saw parts of these 2 games as well and would say at times all 4 clubs played some great footy. OM's looked the more more dangerous in the second quarter and seemed to find the goals more directly as Ajax seemed to go wide when heading forward. After the main break Ajax's defence started to strangle the lightweight OM's runners and the big bloke #25 was mopping up well across half back. The standard of the footy was good considering the conditions.

The Caulfield vs Monash game was a little scrappier and while Caulfield's mid-field seemed to be on top in the parts I saw Monash looked more competent going forward. Have to agree with Mazal, Monash have some great marking targets up front who will cause some headaches this year.

Ormond def Dalyston by 7 goals on Sat. Not sure of details, but apparently 1/2 the side out. 2's won by 20 goals as did the U/19's.

Ammos king, for your info, Rodwell has gone to play at Bentleigh in D2? this year. No idea why, I think a falling out with several U/19's players at the end of the year contributed to this.

Unless he's lost his job and decided to get a tatt and punch his front teeth out.

Come on fellas its not all that bad. Im sorry we cant all live in luxury appartments in Mentone (on the right side of the Hwy) and in Hampton. Typical stuck up ammos hey, Yippa.
Tell me did the man called Horse have a run on Saturday or are they still spelling the nuggety little back pocketer.

it would be good if someone from each team just give a short precise on the state of their home ground. Rupo re-graded the ground over summer to stop the boggy areas on th HFF near the basketball stadium side. It was re-sewn. The rain now seems to run off this area now but is still currently very patchy. I would rate our ground as in better condition than last year- 6.5/10.

KB that's better then the Friars as we don't even have a home ground this year due to the school digging up the oval! Friars are playing at Bulleen Cobra's ground. Not sure what it's like!

The vultures ground has a good coverage of grass due to no training on it over summer and some dodgy watering practices by the non-associated cricket club who use the ground over summer. some small patches could develop with big rains.... however not too much chance of that happening.

hello all new to big footy, Kingbrown i was actually at the Rupo mansion recently for a mates wedding function, went and had a quick look at the ground whilst i pegged back a big joint one half of the ground is 'beaut' and the other half looks terrible why is this.
Also will be interesting to see if Pete Barry can stay away from KFC this season such a shame to see a great young promising footballer blow out to his proportions, i had a bit do do with him when he was training with the weribee VFL side. If the senior coaching staff can keep him away from the drive thru he will a handy player in the midfield.

The cobras ground is one of the best in the VAFA. Great surface. I'm sure they're over the moon about sharing it too!

Seriously good ground. Club rooms not so great. IMO the best in the area (outside the school grounds).

agreed ugly dermie, played there a few years ago it was good back then.

KB can you tell me how Ryan Monzell faired in the leauge b n f last season, as i encountered a blind drunk 'monzy' one night last year he ensured me " i am an absolute monty for the league b'n'f." then proceeded to demolish his kebab. But will admit very good player for Rupo.
