Over 80 players on the track at Ormond Monday night.

16 U/19 players from last year have gone up to seniors. Good young squad, with several new recruits that will play 1's.

Rupo is looking for a name such as the Rupo Roosters or the Rupo Bombers, or the Rupo flies (as some have suggested), at the moment we are the Rupo rhinocerouses ( could be deadly, quick and very slippery ), but i reckon we might be the Rupo Titans and you all will remember the titans!!!!!
Jack, can you spell rhinocerous, not a bad word!!!!

How about Rupo Rabbits????????

Yes, but having one of the great legends of Ormond in Russell Barnes return back to the club that made him a legend of VAFA football would be a enormous boost of confidence to Ormond.

Oh please, save us the crap Jas. Have you seen where St Bedes have gone since he got the shove and the mess he left Beauy in?.

If Ormond wish to be coached by an 80's coach with the rah rah, then they have their man...good luck to their junior development!

KB,

In paying due respect to Sunbury's most unique piece of history (not it's not Emu Bottom) but of course the infamous Sunbury Festivals, I suggest you new name could be the Rupertswood Rockers.

Naturally when it is adopted by your club I'm seeking a royalty percentage of all related merchandise sold in the next 100 years.

cheers

RCT

dropping like flies at rupertswood

stay tuned for further developments.

Brianspeaking / sausage roll are you able to confirm yarrawonga rumors ?

Brennan heading to UK for cricket

Baddely and Quigley to Yarrawonga! Not 100% confirmed however source says waiting to see if Quigley get picked up by Werribee. Both have been offered large amounts of cash.

but you are still from scumbury
I thought a bedford was a slow moving object.
Let me say this that the Rupo Eagles will be soaring this year and they wont crack it like their counterparts in the west.
The only problem Rupo has is adjusting to the lifestyle of people out in the east. Might be a good idea if the players watch the underbelly series to get a better feel.

KB clear up the questions about Rupo have they lost some or not?

My suggestion regarding your imprimatur would be Rupo Razorbacks (forget Rino saw arse)

Having watched them at Friar park last year I was impressed with their team structure, they played to a plan and all seemed to be into it. So not sure that a loss of a couple of key players will effect them much anyway.

Got down to Friar training on Thursday, they looked sharp despite the fact that they lost their gun full forward Torney who was returning from o/s, another victim of greed. Mind you the man with saucers for hands (Baggoley) has been training the house down!

Early flag tips Rupo & Ajax with Maz, Ormond and Friars next best!

Word out of parkdale is tony macgeorge is flying for this time of year. Not bad for his age! Also expect a big year from chris "china" sullivan as he had last year restricted to hamstring injuries due to knee reco from previous year. Apparently have a new tall named anthony tasca who has shown a bit too.

Baggoley is a gun and could be anything IMO. Average kick though. We have definitely lost Leigh Brennan who is heading overseas on a cricket scholarship. There are few players who have not yet committed to 2008 which is a little disappointing. I won't be naming them so forget asking. We should be able to field a competitive side with some terrific youngsters coming through our juniors again. Quite a few reserves players aren't going around at this stage, it must have something to do with the coach that was re-appointed. Bring on Round 1 !!!

players to watch out for in 2008 from last year.

Parkdale: Rochford
Whitefriars: Anderson
Monash: Smyth
Ormond: Miller (absolute gun)
Mazenod: their whole team.
Rupertswood: Milne
HR, Oak, MHS, and AJax: love to hear some players to watch out for.

Players to watch...the whole Ajax team.
Adding Jeremy Dukes ( Port melbourne) to a side who won 6 games in B grade is simply unfair.

With Rupo suffering some significant losses, Ajax are absolute morals for mine.
Were very stiff to get relegated and will trounce a very ordinary lot in C
grade.
Unbeatable at Elsternwick Park.

have been following VAFA football for a long time now...

Saw Ajax play a few games last season and were very unlucky to get relegated. Lost a handful of matches by under 10 or points.

Them and Rupertswood will be far too good for the other sides.

With players like Lewski, Ritterman and Sutton in the midfield, they will be hard to stop.

I also read in the paper that former Williamstown and Port Melbourne gun CHF, who made the VFL team of the year in 2007 will be playing for them this season- good luck stopping him- 6"4 strong and quick

Rupertswood v Ajax Grand Final

If Jeremy Dukes doesn't make it into the VAFA State of Origin team, it won't be Dukes' fault, the blame should lie with the state selectors.

Jackass Dukes has joined Ajax? Cool :D

Heard that Poyas [Sandringham] was seen training with ajax? will he be playing? Dukes and Poyas and that midfield will be hard to stop. Injuries killed ajax last year..Can they stand up in 2008? will they be tougher than last year which was costly for them when it counted....
Heard MHSOB is struggling early days for numbers...
