MHSOB did it easy all the way across the ground over Bulleen/Temp and from what was seen it is going to be a MASSIVE struggle this season for BT.
Not sure where I see a win coming from to be honest.
Thinking the step up is one too far.

It is a step up however injuries and player turnover also add to BT's woes. Its not time to write off BT's season just yet though.

I hope it turns for you.
I guess clubs go through the dips and peaks all season and I guess it doesn't need to be said about how sides that get knocked off can come back 9 games later and collect the 4 points.
It was a dark afternoon for BT on Satdee and probably has been a hard couple of weeks but who knows what will happen if you get a win and go for there.

On the plus side, what an epic win for BT reserves.

My Rd 3 Tips:-

Ajax v OG - Jackers easily
Maz v Monash - Nods to continue winning ways
MHSOB v Caulfield - NFI here, just a guess
Oakleigh v Beauy - Tough one, should be close
BT v Parkdale - Ants to notch first win

Round 3 Tips

Ajax v OG - Jackers look the goods here. Once again after a big pre-season they look all pumped up and ready for a tilt. They're lab dept in the off season by all reports have been working overtime! Israelsohn to hit the packs hard. He has been a quality player for sometime and will look for his experience along with Lewski.

Maz v Monash - Nods are in red hot form and look to be the team to beat. They are sensational all around the ground. Bogar and Jayaweera are the ones to look out for up forward for the Nodders.

MHSOB vCaulfield - I think MHSOB will get up here. Playing on their small home ground it usually works in their favour. (Similar to St Bedes Mentone - opposition teams just hate going there). Pearce starting strongly down forward for MHSOB could be an issue for the Fields. Look for Limbrick to feed him all day long. For the fields Slevison will look to bag a few and likely to be fed by Carboni.

Oakleigh v Beauy - Initially I thought Oakleigh were going to be the team to beat however last week dissappointed me. Even though they kicked terrible they still cant seem to put it all together. Having said that Beauy are the real deal. Look out for Gower who is on fire and Haynes to dominate the middle for Beauy. The Hyphenator (J. Derks-Revere) has been good early by all reports. Oh and how could we forget the man himself.....Mr Sanchez. The boys at Oakleigh need to look out for his dirty tricks under the packs! I wonder if he's performed them on his Mrs?

BT v Parkdale - Parkdale via MacGeorge (the General) to win fairly convincely as BT just havent got the quality. Look out for BT's sharp elbows should they be getting beaten heavily!;)

Mazal you are a plonker, carrying on like a pelican in every VAFA thread known to man. Did Ajax win a practice game? I would suggest they are in a bit of Barney Rubble.
My tip for Round 1 is that Beauie will knock off whoever they play by the best part of 40 goals

this is nonsence strongy1986, by strewth the rubbish u spill out on these forums belongs in the blue bin, all you do is recycle and repeat yourself in every post, for a team to win by 40 goals requires a great deal of skill and hard work. anymore of this garbage and i will not hesiitate to flag your actions and have you forgotten from this forum.

Ajax v OG - Jackers are better at home and will be too good.
Maz v Monash - Worlds apart here, gonna be a tough day for the Ashers. Mazenod are the competition front runners.
MHSOB v Caulfield - A little bit of rivalry here from a few years back. Toss the coin on this one, but Caulfield have proven they can win at the School.
Oakleigh v Beauy - The Krushers need to win this. The Sharks might just fail away.
BT v Parkdale - The Vultures will continue the tough year for the Ants, but BT will push them hard.

Snips you are the biggest bearer of nonsense big footy has ever seen. All you do is comment on which players have been out on the tear/ drug dealing on Friday or Saturday night.

this weeks winners...

OG
Mazenod
MHSOB
Beauy
Parkdale

my tips for this week are:
OG
Mazenod
MHSOB
Beauy
Parkdale
also would like to congraulate braden "desi" haynes on reaching 150 games for the sharks.
Fantastic player and clubman who has given his heart and soul into Beaumaris fc and playing a major part in the rebuilding process of the senoirs and playing some great footy
well done desi

ps: snips is rubbish

Strongy, don't worry about Babydoll and his mates from OM -speaking with a few of the 'oak' boys, they left Beauy because they couldn't handle pressure footy, went to OM's as they needed it a bit softer.

Their parents are still trying to get over it as they left behind some good friends.Tell 'The Fist' to settle down.

Babydoll and his so-called mates including 'skeleton' are jealous of Beauy's success so far this year. Don't worry about them.

Got down to central today to see Mazenod and Monash. Id heard good things about Mazenod, and thought it would be worth the look.

However to be surprised i found them to put in a pretty ordinary effort. The only difference was that Monash couldn't convert. 7-16 is certainly not taking the most of your opportunities. They were within 5pts towards the end of the last.

Monash controlled across all lines, and to be fair probably unfortunate that they have struggled to get one on the board in the first 3 games as they play a real good brand.

Chamberlains were solid in the mid, Bogar was well held, as was Jayaweera only got a few goals from some out the back efforts.

I finish by asking if the umpires are obliged to pay contact after a mark, as it certainly was lacking in the last minutes of this game.

Well nobody picked all 5 this week.

Starting to clear out now with 4 sides well clear.

The next two weeks will be interesting as Ajax face Beauy this week and then Caulfield play Mazenod the following. The Sharks and Nods would both be favourates. Must admit can't see the Jackas going with the other 3.

Wouldn't be fazed by the Nodders only beating Monash by 20 points, they are still the standout.

The sides fighting for relegation are now starting to stand out.

Despite a slow start two the season for both these teams I can't see anything other than an Oakleigh vs Buleen grand final. Both teams at their best are head and shoulders above the rest

Not sure of your logic here Keano. Monash had no form at all going in (spanked by Caulfield and Beauy) yet would have got the choccies but for poor conversion. How can Nodders be the standout??

This is enigmatic C Grade, be careful making early calls.....it looks to me like there may be NO standouts and any of 5-6 could challenge if things go right.

terrible attempt at a funny joke
its good to see that beauy have continued on there winning ways! let me tell you no one will get close tom them this year they have the flag in the bag! another bit of silverware to there collection down at shark! on the injury front the beauy boeing 747 was seen in the skies saturday nite with two of its injured stars in the seats j misfud and m lee been flown to his old den warnabool! apparently a week chewing the fresh grass and breathing in the country air and time in the hay shed will cure all soreness and niggles! and they will be rite to go on saturday again things just keep rolling along for the boys at beauy!

Round up you seem fairly confident of the boys down by the bay. I think the Nodders are the ones who will certainly give you a run. They certainly have a number of quality players that can kick goals in C. Jayaweera, N. Bogar and T. Bourbon to name a few.

To the results and no real standouts. I thought Monash Blues did a huge job on the weekend. The Nodders didnt look themselves compared to their first 2 matches but having said that the Blues with their run and carry style pushed them all the way. Errant kicking cost them. To kick 1.8 to half time isnt good enough. Possibly some goalkicking practice during the week along with Fevola will help for next week.

The Jackas by all reports looked damn strong. They made a bit of a statement on the weekend. Old Geelong arent easy beats. Good to see big Dukes dominating once again. BTW one to watch is Fayman. He's now kicked 12 goals in 3 matches. Very consistent start from the boy.

This is the game I tipped incorrectly but did the highly educated boys give it to Caulfield right until the end. Panick stations must have been ringing in the last for Caulfield after being up by some 8 goals 4 (52 points - for all those out there bar MHSOB players) at 3/4 time. I hear McIntyre and Limbrick (as predicted) dominated for MHSOB whilst for Caulfield Slevison again popped up with a few and Carboni was in the best.

Parkdale Vs Bullen Temp there were no great surpises. Parkdale are the roughy for me this year. The boys play for MacGeorge and I can see them up there for finals. Big game from Boland kicking a lazy 7.

And the last with Beauy accounting for Oakleigh. I'm dissappointed with Oakleighs start. Theyfinished right up there lasy year and to see their somewhat ordinary performances thus far is a concern. Beuay going along smoothly. Good to see Gower of Beauy backing up his own thread on the forum to kick a few more. Well down on Haynes and his 150th. He is a magnifcent player that every team would love to have at their club.

To the ladder and it is starting to shape already. Top four and bottom 3 with the ones in the middle fighting it out. Nodders and Beauy for me at the moment.

Jayawerra out for 4 with a broken hand...

It is possible Monash showed their true selves. It is also possible the Nodders took a side flogged 2 weeks in a row too lightly. Monash would want to stand up sooner rather than later. But like the High boys they still lost despite a spirited performance. I think the Ashers should stay in C Grade, but they would want to start chalking up some wins.

I do take your point that any side can win on any given day, especially if the opposition doesn't come to play.

Stating the bleeding obvious Keano15! Well said!

Am bored therefore tips for this week include:

Beuamaris VS Ajax - Beauy to keep moving along nicely. Israelsohn rumoured to be injured which will hurt the Jackers immensely.

Old Geelong VS MHSOB - Just down the road for MHSOB. Although MHSOB came home strongly last week I think the home ground advantage and bigger ground will suit OG. Long for OG loves the big open spaces. Look for him to kick a bag.

Monash Blues VS Oakleigh - Dont know! ****, both teams I thought would be right up there but have been ordinary. Tipping Monash just at home.

Parkdale Vs Mazenod - Mazenod to be tested out there. Parkdale are my roughy and once again I think with the genral directing (MacGeorge) they will put in a good performance but wont get the chocolates.

Caulfield Grammar Vs Bulleen Temp - Caulfield at home by a few. Not an esy one for the fields but I predict they will get across the line. Florance from BT to get a lot of the ball.

Bored and probably wrong on a few of these Informer.

Beaumaris VS Ajax - Beauy will walk over the Jackas at home. Ajax don't like to travel and the Sharks are better on their own dung hill. The first big contest on the year in C Grade should see both sides up for the test.

Old Geelong VS MHSOB - MHSOB finished well last week and I think will take that confidence into this one. OG have an advantage in being used to playing on the massive space that is Como Park, but it wont be enough.

Monash Blues VS Oakleigh - This will mean too much to Monash to lose. They looked to be hitting some form last week.

Parkdale Vs Mazenod - If their ready to go, Mazenod comfortably.

Caulfield Grammar Vs Bulleen Temp - Caulfield will be tested by a Bullants side that wont say die, but will be too good at home.
