Who cares what the umps think? The best player in the whole of the VAFA is Hilton and he wont win it. Absolute champion.
King, deep down you guys know you can't beat Camberwell, in fact I dont think anyone bar St Bedes and the top 5 in A Section can. I hope you dont get any injuries this week so you can concentrate on winning the prelim.
The reason you got top 2 was for the double chance, be careful this week otherwise you risk Mazenod or Carey getting you with injuries.

Brian, mate sometimes you come out with some great info and insightfully comments / posts. But buddy what are you on about with this one?
Ruppo have had great season and have a very good team to put on the field this week! They will not even contemplate thinking any further ahead than this week Vs Old Camb. While i agree Old Camb should be favs, you must be daft to think that Ruppo 'can't beat Camberwell'. This will be a great game! No ifs, and, or buts about it, both teams will have to play well to beat the other!

You are kidding that only 1 B section side and 5 A section sides could beat Camberwell (laughable).

Mate sharpen up these posts, your better than that!

Who cares what the umps think? Like a reformed smoker, always the most bitter about others smoking. The best player in the whole of the VAFA is Hilton and he wont win it. Absolute champion. Get off it. Better than Dollman, Mahoney or Papaluca?? Your dreaming. As he hasn't even stripped up for half the games, would not be a deserving B & F winner. Gun yes.
King, deep down you guys know you can't beat Camberwell, in fact I dont think anyone bar St Bedes and the top 5 in A Section can. Teams like De La and Scotch would be shaking in there boots if ordered to play a C Grade final right now. I hope you dont get any injuries this week so you can concentrate on winning the prelim. Ordinary.
The reason you got top 2 was for the double chance Einstein alert. Yes they went for top 2 to get the double chance!, be careful this week otherwise you risk Mazenod or Carey getting you with injuries. I am sure they are quivering at the prospect.

I like it Brian. The alter ego spices things up. Lets hope it gets the desired results and this thread lifts its game during finals.

But yes, OC1 in a canter.

He may be in "07... but come "08 Robbins will dominate if he pulls on the brown and blue, i mean, compare an ex-richmond player that was delisted, to a player that has played nearly 150 games, and last year kicked 45 goals. I think robbins has the wood on him, and will kick 70 plus goals nxt year if he plays. Although, i think OC1 will be in B next year so we may never know and i hope we may meet again.

AM i missing something here?

OC 15 w 3l
rupo 15w 3l

Rupo beat Camberwell by 50 odd points .

Rupo have beaten all side in the competition.

This is a 50/50 game based on these FACTS.

I remember rupo winning several finals last year in D grade when nobody rated them.

Didn't st bedes lose the second semi when they were red hot favourites last year?

I think i even fancy rupo on a big ground on a warm day.

Let's imagine for one second that this was the Reds.......

Would become "They are a disgrace. Win lower section flags but can't hack it with the big boys. The club is a joke"

Would have been "Typical of this joke of a club, the committee at Brunswick Street should be burnt at the stake for not following the proper prosses (sp?). They have brought the entire VAFA into disrepute and are nothing more than a basketcase and a pitiful excuse for a club"

Of course I am taking the p155 a bit here, but NOBs have been the Terry Wallace of C-Grade this year, they have been down the bottom all year, but missed out on the blowtorch that the Reds have had applied to them all year.

The Reds copped the blowtorch because of ridiculous and arrogant posts from supporters before the season had even started. NOBs got off lightly because they never talked themselves up.

Kelleher will win Ormonds

is the quill the guy in the VAFA magazine for C section?
if so, yes he has done one about 4-5 weeks abo, maybe he will do another now the H+A season is over.

Yeah, the Quill is the fat bloke who writes on C section. Must have missed his team of the year. Anyone remember what it looked like?

Zoo, the invites have gone out, so your club would know your highest poller. Rupo has 7 invited as they must have been equal in their votes, very even team, but i don't think we will have a winner. You would need 20-25 to win, 7 x 20 doesn't add up. 140 votes with total possible 108, with the likelyhood of Rupo getting around 84. 70/7 = 10, i'm tipping our highest poll winner will get 10.

seems my 'roughie' Hendrie has some real chance. He is the only player from OC1 to be invited to the count.
Do club captains get an auto invite? If not Bayford can be considered 'stiff' IMHO.:thumbsu:

sorry mate I got half way through and was too hard so

NO

Collins no ;injured rd 6
Temming;better FB around even at Rupo. I would go for Desanctis closely followed by K Parker
Heppel; which one, neither have played enough regardless.
Davis too much of the season injured
West has been nowhere near as effective as last year too easily bumped off ball
Tallis; has been nowhere near as good as suggested
Whitehead ; nup
Jayaweera; nowhere near consistent enough, and has spent most of the game against other finalists on the bench. If he could harness his talent he would be a superstar but not yet

Which Phillips?
Which Chamberlain?

for mine

unfortunatly Miller has been out since round 10 with a broken leg, which pretty much cancels him out of contention, he is a gun though. Insert L. Rusell or Martinov as an ormond replacement?

Junior,
I have seen more games of VAFA footy over the last 20 years than you've had bets on the dishlickers.
I call it as I see it. I think this Saturdays game will be an absolute cracking game, Rupo are a very good side and club. They deserve their spot after a fantastic season. However, I think Camberwell with its class across the ground will take the points. Adding a fit and keen Loaterantor to the ff spot only makes your mob stronger. I am tipping it will be a close game and an OC win by under 30 points.
And Im not daft, I dont commentate on games standing on the boundary line...

In the other game, it's a team that has won 9 in a row against a team that has lost 3 of their last 4...Catholics in a canter.

I'll have a crack at a teram.

B: Swain Desanctis Mackenzie
HB: Hendrie Baddeley Cross
C: Kent D.Chamberlain Maslin
HF: Beranger Rochford Monzell
F: G.Phillips Barker Brennan
R Meighan Bayford Evans
Int: J.Phillips B.Chamberlain Steinfort Kelleher
Coach: G. Burgen (For his work on the slopes!)

But Brian you are part of the OC1 this year. Don't undersell yourself!

Do not insult Kelleher, on the field please. Will be top 3 in the leauge B+F, in the guts or HBF will do

I can tell you Keleher was named in the centre and is vice captain

Modern football gents. You just pick a 22. Heck even the greats sometimes start on the pine and run on after 5 minutes. No disrespect intended. I did it in 5 minutes after reading the other teams and adding a few. My positions are a little skewiff. Fine lad and very good player. Deserved VC if that is the way big Willo has lent.

Is that for the VAFA magizine?
If so could you post it now to stop any conjecture (sp?) that is on this site?
Baddeley Desanctis Swain
Chamberlain Hosking Heffernan
Josephs Keleher(vc) West
Kent Rochford Quigley
Jayaweera Barker Brennan

Meighan Bayford (c) Evans

Monzell Smyth Martinov Cross

Coach = Sausage Roll
