Oh, no question it's been our recruiting. But I think it's more with development; you look at Marc Murphy in his first and second year. He was fearless. He never used to squib it. Where's the Marc Murphy that would want to play on and put his body on the line after Copeland ruined his shoulder, and a brilliant first year? Where's that guy? We now have a captain who shirks responsibility, and embarrasses himself with dives that would make a soccer player proud.the only thing that is logically inconsistent about your post is that its Melbourne that beat you. The modern day standard bearer for playing to lose.
I don't deny one bit the truth of what you wrote but I'd suggest Carlton's appalling drafting of late is as much to blame as anything that happened back then.
