Carlton Blues eyeing Andrejs Everitt in trade deal with Bulldogs

According to Patrick Smith on SEN he said that Andrejs Everitt is definately on the move and said the reason was Everitt and Coach had a falling out.

The big Smith also said that we have offered Lloyd a 2 year deal and are waiting for his answer, and will only go after Hall if Lloyd knocks us back.

Its hard to know with these type of things. There is so much rumour and innuendo flying around in the media that you don't know what to believe or not believe. You don't know what has substance and what is fabricated.

The likes of Smith and Hutchy are just regurgitating that Denham article to give a comment.

They wouldn't know the facts if they fell over them in the street.

I doubt that these experts could even tell you what an unknown kid such as Everitt or Mark Austin were like as players.

then they go Hargrave to be that extra player? do you do the trade?
As much as you'd hate seeing some of those boys leaving an effective trade of Everitt+Hill+Hargrave+1st rounder for Pavlich probably does help our ability to win the flag next year. It's a tough one though.

Chef mentioned Miller before. He's 26 years old and IMO would be a great get for our 1st round pick. Would be a decent CHF with our delivery and could swing back if we get injuries/only want to play one tall forward/decide to develop one of the young guys with Bazza.

please tell me you did not just mention the words brad miller and first round pick in the same sentence.

melbourne have been trying to use him at CHF forward for years with no luck - why would we try?

Miller has some appeal and could be ok, but obviously not worth a 1st or 2nd round.

Straight swap Miller for Tiller sounds ok and you would even save on the signwriting as each side only needs to alter one letter on the locker.

Just really don't think Pick 15 is going to be that great this year and I suppose I probably do rate Miller a bit higher than others. Maybe they chuck in pick 36, just really think Miller would fit in very well at the Dogs.

Actually mate, that is not fact, just baseless speculation by Greg Denham who has a srtike rate of about 0/7 in relation to the Bulldogs this year.

I dont like Denham BUT its not just him that is saying that Everitt is on the move, he was the first. Since then his manager Ricky Nixon has spoken about interest from other clubs, Mark Stevens, Patrick Smith and the club has not exactly gone out of its way to douse the speculation as you would if a player is contracted and part of the future.

Where there is smoke there is fire.

I cannot understand why Dogs would move Everitt on after they gave him number 3, he is 20yo and we have put 3 years development into him.

There is more to this than what we know or may ever know.

I see this as entirely plausible.

Everitt was brought for round 22 and played probably his best ever game. He was then dumped next week for the first final and could easily have been upset. His performance at Willi that week was abysmal.

I am sure Rocket would have let him know the level of disappointment from the coaching staff and Everitt may not have taken it well.

Everitt has certainly lacked the intensity and Eade prefers hard at players. If he can't get his attitude right time for him to be moved on.

And just like when Denham was wrong about the others, fellow reporters jumped on board.

Where there are reporters, there are sheep.

Thats exaxctly what went through my mind but having said that you would think its more than missing out on a finals place after Rnd 22, issues like that can usually be sorted through BUT the second point you make reg hardness and intensity are more difficult to sort.

His Manager is not a reporter and his was quoted and Mark Stevens is pretty close to the Dogs so he would have pretty good information coming out of WO.

Who said we are going to lose him?

All reports and talk is her is heading elsewere..
I would love to play him in the forward line to take a grab etc.. But if he can't break into a team that is fairly small, what hope does he have..

He can't be used as a back up ruckman surely?
