I love how in the comments in that article, some nuffie thinks we've cheated and as a result were putrid or some crap lol.

Yeah, this one:
Everyone’s entitled to an opinion Wayne, but in this case i will just have to respect your right to be wrong.

Carlton have cheated. Pure and simple. Their culture is still crippled, and one win does not mean they are on the path to anything.

What a prize muppet. No effort to substantiate, like explain how he/she/it thinks we have "cheated", unless it's STILL referring to the salary cap breach of nearly 20 years ago.
Hate-fueled trolling, pure and simple.
And THIS is the "quality" comment that The Aged show in their comments.

Cant see the point of his dad saying we should be patient with him.....he looks every bit like a player

Because it feeds the narrative that we stuffed up and overreached with that draft pick swap by,

1. Selecting Liam in the first place and the medya trying to push the premise that he was not worth it - hence the article of the dad coming out and desperately pleading for us to be patient even though not one Carlton supporter I know has ever suggested that there is any sort of elevated expectation on this kid. And,
2. We got ahead of ourselves by including our 1st pick from this year because we are rubbish and we have handed cows a top 3 pick

This episode just adds to the wider narrative that we are no good and hence the wider football community should delight in our demise. Heck, look at the head of steam the Walsh v. Rozee rubbish is getting! Just another layer to the “we are no good at anything” storyline

Walsh isn't entitled to anything is he? Rozee is playing great football displaying all the characteristics required of a good forward. I don't understand this disdain for other team's players. IF Adelaide get a top pick this year it will because the Carlton side hasn't progressed as expected when the pick swap was done - and that will be on Bolton and the players not the media. If/when Carlton actually start winning - the same media narrative will turn to what a genius SOS was. Media can't ever 'lose' or get a narrative wrong - Carlton's performance writes the prose- not the media.

I'm growing to detest that human being.
I listen to the Ross and John podcast while his show is on...they'll cheer you up after a disastrous day :)
Mac Sport is okay, but a little Sydney-centric

Gone right off him. Another who has joined the "comments" side of the media. No research and no care. A week ago he said we were on the right track. Purely about a reaction to the story of the day and about making money. Thank goodness for Podcasts and Audiobooks

I realise its comparing apples and oranges, but the way he speaks is refreshing.
Doesn't worry about hurting anyones feelings, calls a crap performance a crap performance.
Are AFL players now so mollycoddled that they're immune to public criticism from their coaches?

Give me "that was crap" over "learned behaviours" any day.

He's certainly been the most successful coach of any code over the last 15 odds years....must be doing something right.
Can't like this post enough.

Our players really reflect the current deflection regime currently in place at the club. I get sever de ja vu listening to Cripps and Weiters talking about "not getting structure right" or "not what we stand for" - the best though is Bolton not being happy with honourable losses but at the same pointing out our honourable losses as proof of progress. It's like we have heard it a million times before.
