They were cheerful but a bit subdued actually...would have been tired after a tough game.

Some funny moments. ..Sam Rowe putting his weight behind the tackle bag for one of the bigger kids put him on his a. The auskick coach kept calling Simon White Matt. That same coach passionately telling the kids to run after they kicked the ball "good energy coach" one of them yelled. My daughter wears no. 25 and was talking to Dylan Buckley about Fev and Jesaulenko. I said we were hoping Clem Smith gets a game.."Hope not" smiled Dylan. I felt like an insensitive barstool after that. ..said I hoped he got a game too!

If I ever start a band I'm going to call it Mebbie and the Insensitive Barstools.

12 months is a long time in footy...

"According to another insider, Carlton has been fielding calls from player agents for the first time in years."

Never heard of Craig Little before but it certainly paints the club in a much better light. Also, i didn't know about Klarica from Hawks coming over to us.

Great read and highlights everything I (and many others), detested about our club.
Unfounded arrogance, self-entitlement, corrupt culture........................great read.

This is an honest-to-God reinvention. It’s a reinvention began with asking that most fundamental of questions: “Why does the Carlton Football Club exist?”

For Carlton CEO Steven Trigg it was a “sense of belonging”. It was something he’d been reflecting on since first walking into the club and figuratively (and quite possibly, literally) putting a boot through the wall that separated his predecessor’s office from the rest of the administrative staff.

Process.

What a well written article.

We all knew that process was lacking. That part was a no brainer. The failure of Malthouse left them nowhere else to go.

It is good to see that Trigg gets just as much credit for the change of thinking. Almost the architect of change while Bolton is the instrument.

If Trigg becomes stale and arrogant as Adelaide fans will tell you he did, then he has still helped bring about the most important changes in our club in decades.

Credit to the board for hiring Trigg, hiring SOS and then credit for staying the hell out of the way after that.
