Peter Moore kicked 5 in 77 IIRC and was winning us the game until Barrassi (The Great Enemy) benched Blight to pinch the draw.

Edit just googled Moore had 4 in the draw and 5 in the loss.

If Carlton supporters actually understood anything about football, Cox is not there to do anything except compete in the forward line so that the small forwards can do there thing. The fact that he is a decent back up ruck and can kick a couple of goals is a bonus.
He is vital to our game plan and it was no coincidence that when he came back at the end of the year Schultz played much better and we were beating the Premiership team...

He kicked a combined 2 goals in two games against Collingwood this year, two narrow defeats that if turned into two narrow wins, would have placed Carlton in the top four.

His 6 goal effort came in a game Collingwood had no need to go gung ho for as they’d already all but secured a home qualifying final.

In the real biggest games with the most on the line, Charlie does not deliver.

They know nothing about good team footy, only stars who carry their spuds teammates. Collingwood have always been a better side with Cox in than without, even in his first years. He was a very valuable part of our premiership team.

I have to admit I'm a bit salty about Owies. He's the one who has stung us, gets Carlton close almost every time.

I also should confess a personal angle. A few years ago my godson did work experience in the gym at Carlton. I joked he could nobble a few, haha, no way of course, I'm just kidding. He's extremely honest and earnest, and they took him at face value.

Cripps is everything it says on the box, heart and soul of the club, humble, makes time for everyone.

I asked him about a few, they were the usual mix, but he said Owies is a decent bloke, (I am Jack's complete disbelief) no apparently it's true: incredibly competitive, like childishly so. Not an arse. Changed my view of the bloke and I'm happy for him when he does well.

Footy is a horrible game with the numbers and contracts and to see him getting maybe pushed out and less fit dedicated guys sitting on fat contracts leaves me sour.

We have a few of his sort, Elliot, Shulz, shorties who lead and crash and play taller sorta so we don't need him, but I'd take him. Never ever gives up.

Anyway that's my rant over: if you sack Owies ill never be nice to Carlton again.

Nah unlike Carlton supporters I don’t get embarrassed by my club. 2 flags in 14 years is beautiful especially when Carlton haven’t won a modern era flag. Now that is embarrassing

No one is saying Cox is a better home and away player than Curnow. You'd have to be really thick to think that is what has been said.
I'll say it slowly for you....
1. Mason Cox is CLEARLY a better FINALS player than Charlie Curnow.
2. Finals games are more important than home and away games.
3 Performance in finals is more important than performance in home and away games.
4. Players who don't perform in finals are useless when it comes to winning a flag.
5. Winning a flag is what it's all about.

Have a think about it and clearly state your reasons for disagreeing with the above assertions.

I agree with this 100% I’m also surprised that Fadge likes the comment as he argues against me everytime about it.

This reasoning is exactly why Walsh and Ashcroft are better than Daicos. Who was carried to his flag.

Curnow may get his chance next year, I wouldn’t be so quick to bag him.

Cox has a better finals record individually as a player.
I guess that means that Sam Walsh has a better record than Nick if we are talking finals football. Thoughts ?
