2016- SPS comes in with Talent destroyed by Teague"s move to defence. Fisher is a fail. Late picks about what we would expect. Setterfield destroyed by Teagues moved to wing after being great on ball in 2020
2017- Dow and Obrien fails. Gibbs trade nets us kennedy and de konig. Kennedy almost destroyed through non selection when game by game analysis demonstrates talent. De Konig = Gun
2018- Walsh Gun Turns top 10 pick into Stocker Gun + pick that nets kemp. Finbar last pick and BSOS was liddles call
2019- Kemp, Philp, Honey, Ramsay really strong draft. Jack Martin who I rate cost nothing in picks and salary because of a front loaded contract.
Marchbank unlucky, Plowman 100 games and the rest were recruited specifically as gap fillers. No recruiter can obtain 30 first 22 players in 5 drafts

That isn't evidence.. that's you deflecting blame for any perceived miss.
So again, are you able to verify these claims?

I said in a post about Sayers that he has been a disaster, they are trying to change the constitution so members have virtually no say. If Carlton doesn’t get Brian Cook, Sayers needs to be removed immediately, aside from what he has done by not getting a coach, talking about getting a new CEO while still having a CEO, he has already made the club a laughing stock, and he has only been in charge for a minute.

SOS did give MMcG a 5 year deal on big money and traded 2x 2nd rounders to get him.

That said wiping out the debt is such an over rated achievement. I understand the last 18 months have been a challenging environment. Debt is cheap, $10m is a small amount given the turnover of the club and overly focusing on it at the detriment of performance on the field is counter productive. If Carlton play finals they will be far more profitable and have more members than they currently do. Get the football side right and the rest will take care of its self. Put in a few more seasons like the one we just had and we will be back struggling financially.

The problem the game has is the unstable political environment. WA, SA, QLD, Vic & NSW each have a Premier with delusions of grandeur about their importance. The AFL is leaking money as quick as the Vic Govt, and you have to wonder how many people have turned their back on the game. Richmond & Melbourne supporters refuse to attend Marvel.St.Kilda fans have all but deserted their club. Vic clubs have to sell games interstate b/c playing at Marvel which is too expensive and a loss-making exercise, instead of playing them at a boutique stadium like Princes Park where clubs can make a dollar and fans can enjoy a more intimate game rather than playing in a stadium which is 70% empty.
