For those saying it was CLEARLY touched, get off it. There was nothing CLEAR about it, in all honesty it probably was touched but in every case like that all year it has been inconclusive and goes to the goal umpire (which would haave been agoal in this case). What pisses people off is the inconsistency in nearly every facet of our game.

It was as conclusive as a touched ball of the boot is going to get. Fingers just don't bend like that otherwise.

It could of been touched, we can't determine the depth of field of the camera, the footage was inconclusive so therefore they should of gone with the goal umpires original call.

FFS ! I am convinced after this week and last week that the AFL want Carlton in the finals

Honestly, with the goals they pulled out of their Arse last week, (And many were pure arse believe me )
And tonight of course, yet again scoring Flukey, Arsey Goals and getting all the lucky bounces as per usual , Finally, to go along with that , at least 5 totally disgraceful decisions favouring Carlton yet again, i am convinced that the Navy Blues are the luckiest bunch of pricks ever to play AFL / VFL , and undeservedly so i might add !

I didn't think his fingers moved. Players always lie and appeal for touched. He made a piss weak effort cos he's simply not that good and appealed hoping for a favourable decision.

Exactly, not sure what people are on with the "clearly" part. The most you could say about it was that it was likely touched: the thing is you shouldn't overrule a decision from "likely" evidence ever.

And it overruled the goal umpire a meter away as he had no way of knowing if it was touched in real time.

Pretty easy to see the fingers move back so touched is correct.

I just hope the umpires were going to always check and not be influenced by the players. They've ignored appeals other times before so you need to be consistent in when to review it.

With hot spot... you have a ball that's constantly being handled and kicked. The whole ball is going to be white hot! It'll only work with the goal posts.
