Clueless about what the actual racegoer needs. Not everyone has multiple betting accounts and the older gen prefer the ticket in the hand that they can collect later if need be, at their local TAB outlet. Place a bet with one of the very few bookies on track these days, and if you are lucky enough to get a result, then you need to collect on track, otherwise you are juicy fruited.
Not just Gil, but everyone in charge of racing in this state is running it into the ground. It's just another indication (admission) that no-one cares about actual attendances. They don't care what people bet on, and the TAB would prefer people bet on the "cartoon" races dogs and trots, as they can run them every couple of minutes.
NSW gets it, and we are just being left in it's wake. Morons the lot of 'em. Thank God Gil didn't get the RV gig.
