Like I said, you’re clearly a troll who has no idea at all.....He’s been BOG in finals before & was worthy of being called elite from his performance’s last year. And the coaches & ex players on the voting panel clearly agreed.

Wow. I love Oscar and he has huge potential for the future and he is already starting to deliver on that potential.

The definition of elite can be quite ambiguous. For some, it's the top 50 of the competition. For other it's the top 5. Even if you extended it out to the top 50 in the competition, Oscar Allen still has quite a way to go to be there just yet. I'm pretty bullish on his future and I'm confident that he'll one day get to the levels that put him into All Australian discussions (which - as earlier - may or may not be "elite" depending on one's definition)... Maybe even in 2021 will be the year he makes the big leap up the pay grades (he's about the right age for it), but there's no planet on which you could currently make the claim he is an elite AFL footballer yet.

I think Oscar will become a great player but I still have no ****ing idea how we was classed as elite based on his output in 2020. The only statistical thing i could possibly claim is they have classified him as a ruck/forward and his 18 goals have some overbearing influence.

Elite for Goal Accuracy for a key forward

As I said in the Richmond board, you could play just 5 games to qualify, kick 5.0 goals straight.....AND 2 millions out on the full, you'd still get %100 accuracy....hey presto....elite.

So when CD claims someone is elite...that player is not elite as in the complete sense...it's just some ridiculously obscure criteria that some spud miraculously qualified for....hey presto.....elite!!!
